Alan Wake has vastly superior foliage than Killzone 3

I gotta feeling your trolling.... Alan Wake looks amazing... Cows will never admit it... At its best is up there with UC2... Its just kinda inconsistent... Killzone 3 has amazing snow, which makes it a contender. Not a winner though. :P

The snow on the ground and effects with snow look better in Crysis, but personally the snow blowing around looks better in KZ3 to me. Still, as always Crysis wins.

Both games don't do foliage particularly well if we're honest.

As you can see there is close to no foliage on the ground, it is simply just white stuff with random wrinkles and holes in it. It's clear that Guerrilla Games has no feeling, no passion for snow. Remedy on the other hand take pride in their jungle foliage

as one can see, there is lots of plants and green vegetation on the ground, it's quite detailed. You can see the mud on the ground very well and it allows one to connect with the character seeing as he's in a very dangerous environment. The realism portrayed in Alan Wake is like no other, it has top notch voice acting along with great environments, here is a picture of Alan Wake:

This in-game screenshot is like no other with fantastic lighting that beats out Killzone's lighting where light seems to come out of every single direction, it also showcases the amount of leaves in the tree, and the high res details in his jacket are just astonishingly well made.

Briefly. And yes, it is a pretty good looking game for a console game. It's consistent, which imo is just as important as super duper high definition. I don't own it because I found it rather boring. Maybe I'll get around to it when the price drops considerably.

Alan Wake was photo realistic in some parts....problem was it was inconsistent but still an amazing looking game

You shouldn't even attempt to compare foliage between Killzone 3 and Alan Wake. It's like comparing cars between Forza 3 and Fight Night Round 4.

I am not trolling. While that may be true, the fact still remains that Alan Wake DOES have better foliage, regardless of the fact that KZ3 is set on a destroyed world. Its enviornments are foliage-less.

the amount of leaves is not relevant to graphics, the leaves could be replaced with paper and it would make no difference, as long a its still high res.

Yes, but all racing games need cars, action/adventure games don't need cars, but ALL games need environments and foliage very much helps the environment and details of characters. So it's not at all like that.
