I've been following this game forever even before this current generation systems launched and really had an interest in it. I do see that the 360 version supposidly comes out in april 10, with PC version TBA, is a PC version even definte or is it just speculation? For those who don't know Alan Wake is a psychological thriller when a writer moves with his wife who ends up missing or so, and to make this game unique light is your weapon, aka. flashlight, flare guns ect.

Also what about this game being Windows Vista only, i know that means Win 7 to but I have Windows XP and Win 7 RC which will expire before the game even comes out and can't really afford to upgrade the OS as it cost like over 200 bucks. I also don't own a 360 so thats out of the question. With the assumption there will be a way to play this on Win XP i'd like to know if anymore concrete info as far as PC requirements or release dates go.

Thanks.

The PC version has been put on hold, whether it's indefinite or not is to be seen.

I think people forget Microsoft is the publisher for this game.

Console companies are expected to sabotage the versions of games on other platforms, forcing its exclusivity is nothing new. A few examples on Sony's side is acquiring the exclusivity of Haze, making Heavy Rain a PS3 exclusive; and delaying the release of Ghostbusters on none PS3 platforms in some places.

I don't know why some people react like Microsoft's decisions to favour their own platform somehow says something bad about PC.

How long did it take for Halo2 to come out on PC? 3years or something? expect the same with Alan Wake. By the time it will be released no one will care about it. How much better it looks it does't matter cuz we will probably be in next gen. The reason i am thinking this is cuz 360 needs exclusive and MS is doing it for that same reason, you want Alan Wake? get 360 or wait 2-3years.

not to mention making them exclusive to the newer Operating systems IE: Alan Wake Windows Vista exclusive makes me mad as well... and i agree with you cuz I'd love to see more microsoft 360 ports come to the PC like Halo 3 and Gears 2.

Microsoft pulled the PC version, according to Remedy. So IF it is coming to PC, you won't hear about it until after the 360 version is released. They want as many people as possible to go the 360 route on this one, it wouldn't make any sense to announce a PC version before they feel they've got a majority of what they want.

i think it won't be released for Pc, at least not next year. xbox 360 has very few exclusives and they'll want to keep them on console.

The chances are there will be a PC version but not till 6 months - 2 years after the 360 version.

If Lost and the Damned is coming to PC which is seems it is, i'm sure Microsoft will bring Alan Wake out at some point, but i'm sure it will remain Vista/Win 7only.
