Mass Effect was an 8.5. If you've played Mass Effect 2, you understand just how much better the original could have and should have been. The original was great but highly flawed. The sequel is sublime. Kevin-V

This logic makes perfect sense, because also like Mass Effect 2, Assassins Creed 2 was a huge improvement over the first Ass Creed. That's why the sequel also scored higher than its predecessor. . . . . . . HOLD IT! :roll:

Anyway, I must of put around 3 hours into the AVP demo, and got very good at it topping the kills and reaching the 30 kill limit a few times. It takes sometime getting into but when you do it's really fun. In all honest it seems like a solid A game. I think it's worth buying, but for the right price.

That is way too low.

They're Okay games at best not 10/10 Quality. Uncharted 2 was just a Re-Release of Uncharted 1 with different skins, basically they pulled an EA Sports on us and MGS4 was 70% Cutscene, and GTA4 may aswell have been a Bowling sim and yet they all got such high scores. And Seeing at how AvP isnt even out here I'm not going to pass judgement based on a Demo, which imo was pretty fun.

Well that what happens when you put out a shooter right behind ME2 and Bio2. Still, couldnt care less to be honest. Maybe devs will stop making so many damn FPS's if they get trashed enough.

This game would have been great had it not been for the Xbox and the PS3.

Yeah... Rebellion made that game. How the mighty have fallen. Maybe they can't deal with modern hardware or programming or something. They used to be great. Now they lost the touch. Sad. Hope they don't go out of business, for their sake.

In general I've found that games rated over 60 can be worth looking into if you appreciate the things the game does right. Maybe not at full price, but at some point. Granted 2010 is packed with high quality releases, so makes sense to prioritize. I'm skipping a bunch of games as well. Too many of them. Probably would have gotten Darksiders if things were quieter, but that's not happening.

Like I said, I don't have the time nor am I willing to spend my money on said games at some point when other quality titles will be out by then. I have to prioritise instead of continuing my buying of games that I don't end up playing.

And get Darksiders.

I sense this game may end up with a very large modding community.

Well my roommate has a copy, and I played for several hours today. Not a good game. The controls DO suck, and it just lacks a general sense of polish. HoolaHoopMan

If the game is average-to-almost-decent at best, then I'm very mad at SEGA for putting Colonial Marines on hold, and quickly assembling this turd for a quick buck. I wonder how good / bad sales will be, and if they will be bad, would that make SEGA wanting to make up for it by releasing Colonial Marines, or will they cut off that game completely?Salt_The_Fries

Why is anybody suprised? Rebellion debuted with a strong title, but for the last ten years has released a handful of complete garbage titles every year. They are incompetent developers that need to be shutdown, and it amazes me that they've survived in the wake of so many cutbacks, especially with studios like Free Radical and Ensemble running over the copping block. If anything, I'm glad that they've released another POS FPS, because it puts them one step closer to the last straw.remi__0311

Gearbox was busy with Borderlands so you shouldn't be mad. Now the majority of their team is working on Colonial Marines.

Damn, that's low. I guess I'll wait until it's on sale on Steam or something.
