all of this killzone vs halo mess

i've had reach, 3, 2, & 1.....[halo that is]....halo is a cool shooter. as a fan of the halo series, i find that the people seem to overate the game, its not bad.....but its not jaw dropping amazing. at all. killzone, well......that game has jaw dropping amazing graphics....[i don't pc game, so to me...it looks good k?] the game is nothing like halo, but i find killzone to be a better single player experience than halo is, all of halo's single player campaigns is boring. both of the storys are awful, but who cares? i think people choose halo over killzone because of the multiplayer situation. but i guess, since i really don't like to rely on multiplayer for me to enjoy a game, i prefer killzone....i dunno

Killzone is better then halo in many ways. It's just people who like's halo want to look the other way.

Anyway, yeah, KZ is great, can't wait to spin it up tomorrow. But, regardless, it still isn't as consistent or engaging as the Halo series has been (though KZ2's plot > Halo 3's).

You are not a fan of Halo and you probably never played the single player. If you have, you would know that KZ's single player campaigns are either as mediocre or worse. percech

Still don't see the reason KZ and Halo are so often compared. I get that one is Sony's primary shotoer and the other is Microsoft's but outside of that they're very different games. I blame the press labelling the original KZ as the "Halo killer". Otherwise these comparisons would have died long ago.

halo is a better game there is no denying it. Comparing the games is reasonable for ppl to do. they r both sci-fi fps games and thats why they r compared. meh they r both big games for their respective systems . really u can tell which is better merly by looking at how many ppl r online in multiplayer. halo 3 still has much more ppl then killzonee 2 online and probally more then killzone 3. there is a reason why ppl keep playing halo .

True, but then again you get games being compared that are nothing alike simply because of sales wars. Oh Cow and Lemming logic.

Still, there are people that compare Halo and KZ outside of SW and they play too differently to me to care.

Based off you Xbox Live Card, I don't see how you can criticize Halo 3/Reach's campaignsif you have only played the first level of 3 and the first two levels of Reach. Both games get better throughout the campaigns (except for the Cortana mission in Halo 3). I also don't see how you can say people overrate the Halo games if they have actually played and beat them when you have only played the first couple missions of Halo 3 & Reach.

EDIT: And based off you PSN card, you have not played Killzone 2 (and of course, 3).

I honestly couldn't stomach the campagn of KZ2 and I enjoyed multiplayer on it though . Halo has so many more features and I've personally enjoyed single and multiplayer with it but I do like both and agree Halo is over hyped but I do think it is a clear cut above KZ.

When graphics always end up being the high point it means that is the only high point. Uncharted 2 has amazing graphics but basically I like it because it's a FUN game.

They really don't need to be compared. They are too different for one game to absorb the fans of the other, nevermind that they are on different consoles.

A much better comparison is Halo and Resistance. They are very similar in mechanics, damage model, and weapon variety. The mechanics of the games are pretty much identical.

Gears is more comparable to Killzone than Halo, even with the difference in perspective.

This'll be the one. KZ and Halo are only really compared because of how the press built up KZ as a Halo killer. Sony didn't even care for that comparison. From the start they said that wasn't their intention. But it's stuck now and people compare them.
