people wouldn't really hate it if it were a quality title and not a rehash.
just look at the Mario Galaxy games. they look very identical, yet why is it that both are praised? not saying you have to have a graphics overhaul, but hter should be enough content on the next title so that people will actually get their money's worth.

I like Call of duty but I dislike the fact it's became a rehashed series with yearly releases and subscription based plans that's turned into a giant money suck. What have they tried new that was really genre defining since CoD4? We are going on the fourth CoD since then and barely anything has changed. Slightly updated visuals, new 4-5 hour campaign, some new maps and perks and what else? 60$ for a game I practically already own and have owned since 2007?
It isn't CoD I hate, how could anybody ever hate CoD? Go back and play CoD1, CoD2 and CoD4, those were games that helped define a genre and brought new things to the table. What happened to those games? You know what makes me sick? The average consumer who goes to the store buying these rehashes then defending them like they are god's gift to the world. How many times do you have to play the same damn game before you get bored? You're basically setting a standard for the industry "if we release the same game every year with minor updates at a full price consumers will buy into it, so why bother wasting development time on something that actually pushes the series forward?"
I'm no BF3 fanboy either, I've never truly liked battlefield all that much but at least they aren't rehashing the same game for 5 years straight.
