Care to bring up an example of what doesn't make sense?

Alright, let's start with the most basic question. What the hell does Ultimicia gain from compressing time? If she is a sorceress in the future, here the hell were Squal and company to stop her then? Dead, not born? Also in dumb Villain fashion they don't kill the main characters while they are powerless. Then there is the silly orphange scene. Oh, and how on earth does Squal survive what happened to him in the 1st disk. Then Laguna being his father was just weak. Laguna and company were weak. "oh, you gave us the strength to fight!!!!!!", "the GFs made us Forget!!!!!". This games plot is none sense. Its just lucky everything else was awesome.
What does Ex-Death have to gain from creating the void? What does Kefka have to gain from destroying the world? What does Seymour have to gain from obliterating anything? Yes, we don't know why. It's just something that we don't have access to. But the point isn't what Ultemecia's motives are; she stands as a symbol for the greater themes in the game. You can't stop time. You can't expect everything to say the same. Striving for permanence will defeat yourself, much like Squall did in the game.
What do you mean where were Squall and company to stop Ultemecia? Ultemecia is from a future far beyond the time of the villains, most likely hundreds of years past their lifetime.
Other than being cheesy, what is wrong with the Orphanage scene? The GFs are not real. They are phantom beasts. They take up part of the heroes' minds and as a result the heroes' memories fade away. Is there something inherently wrong with that? I mean, I was never particularly impressed by it but it never struck me as "wrong." It's a fantasy game and it builds its own rules of how the supernatural works.
Why is Laguna being his father "weak?"
