The PS3 has come a long way from being called a cheap blu-ray player. The next few years are undoubtedly going to be even better. The exclusives just keep coming and this year the quality and diversity is astonishing.

You could insert any systems name with their own list of games into this thread.Why are Cows so pushy with their console but are so quick to dismiss the other systems?The 360 has my vote for best online service and games library by far,I dont want a PS3.Maybe Cows should consider the 360 if youre looking for the best online experience and library on consoles.

To each his own. While I agree with your post, someone could do the exact same thing with the 360's library, and I'd agree with their post too. Both have a good library of games.

Even after owning all consoles, I still believe the 360 offers the most value. Now, I havent had an RRoD incident, so maybe Im not a protypical 360 owner. The PS3 is great though with Uncharted, GoW and GT. And for bluray as well. I just dont buy Multiplats for it though.

The PS3 and 360 are so neck and neck compared to last gen, since sooooo many games have gone multiplat. A TON of exclusive ps2 franchises have gone to xbox, and this I believe is ultimately the downfall of the ps3. Microsoft, despite their hardware failures, was very cunning in their maneuvers removing exclusive franchises from sony's side.

Demon's Souls is awesome. I would buy a PS3 for that one game. It has such amazing replay value.

Well compare £250 to the launch price of £425. The PS3 is a steal at the price, gamers won't be happy unless Sony sells the system for free. The price is nothing compared to what you get out of the system.

Good games but I hardly think I would spend $300 to play them. They don't grip me like the rest of SW it seems.

In my mind, you're either not a true gamer (maybe just a general gamer who only play something like madden, call of duty, and halo and not other unique games like okami), a big fanboy, have absoutely horrid taste in games, or you are purposely ignoring PS3s games if out of all of the exclusives you either want zero or only one. I'm not even trying to make this about the PS3. If Uncharted 2 was on the Wii, I would not give a flying **** that it's on the Wii, I'm buying that game because it looks brilliant. Final Fantasy Versus maybe insane if SE does a good job on it. The God of War series is high quality stuff if it was on the Xbox 360, I would buy it for that system. People focus on the systems too much and not the games!!!!!!!!! Claiming to buy one system over the other because one runs multiplats better has to be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard (in reference to PS3 vs Xbox 360). You know why? Why? Its simply a matter of taste and preference. Its not one denying the quality of those games by saying they are not interested. Are they suspose to lie to themselves to broaden there horizon as opposed to buying what they like?

You only really need Demon's Souls on there. That game alone destroys every other RPG this gen imo.

Flawed rational, anyone can list the exclusives on their platform of preference and mock those on other platforms as missing out.

Just to clarify, it's actually about $1783.00 to play all of those games, not including tax. So no, it's not all for $399.99, it's all for about $2100. :)

What exactly about your response counters my comment? You talked about the PS3 changing its price and acquiring more exclusives, however that isn't a counter argument to my comment.

The argument being made in the first post was essentially "look at the games none PS3 users are missing out on", the problem being someone can just as easily say "look at all the games PS3 users are missing out on by not having platform X". A change in the price of the PS3 and an increase in the number of exclusives has no impact on the relevance of my response, all platforms have exclusives; and you are missing out on them by not owning that platform.
