Am I the only one who isn't getting COD MW2?

I'm going through a bit of a money crunch and I really don't want to spend 60$ on a game with yet another 4 hour long story and the same exact MP that was in COD 4 with minor tweaks and upgrades. Oh, and lets not forget how pure evil Activision is being lately. Maybe when the game drops in price I'll consider it But untile then, I'll pass.

I'll probably just rent it. If it's exactly like Call of Duty 4, then it wouldn't be in my collection. If they made vast improvements to the SP and MP, I'll probably keep it, though the MP needs more improvements than the SP.

I'm with you, buddy. Far too many other games I am interested in to be investing in yet another FPS with a short campaign and rehashed multiplayer with new maps.

Oh, there are many people on here who aren't getting it because it's teh rehash, but I don't happen to be one of them.

£55 is more than the 3 top selling blurays!!!! (and one of them is the Band of brother box set! [sooo getting that!]). it's just a cash in, Activision will be actively avoided like i did EA a few years back when they ruined Westwood. Any company that tried to turn Brutal Legend into a "Guitar Hero Sequel" should be met with a bout of Ion Cannon on their HQ. Rapidly.

I don't plan on it. I didn't really like Modern Warfare 1. My Brother is definitely buying it but I'm not.

I see this all to often:

Its seems like a passing fad that its "cool" to bag on MW2 for being same old same old.

But God of war 3 manages to be the same exact game with updated graphics and it gets praised. No one ever brings up how God of War is a rehash every installment.

With SW logc every sequel must be a rehash. Everyone here expects a genra change every installment.

You want to bet on it? Believe it or not, there are some of us who are just getting sick and tired of shooters, man. There is not going to be much of a campaign and personally, I can only handle so much capture the flag, death match, ect. It is just getting plain OLD.....to put it mildly.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy shooters. I actually plan on getting 2 this year, but they are supposed to have a good campaign is why. Wolfenstein and Borderlands, which is of course an RPG/FPS hybrid. That's it and those will be all the FPS action I will be able to stand for the rest of the year. Point being, just because you are excited for it, it does not mean we all are.

Not once will you see the MW2 icon, whatever it may be, in my XBL tag.
