The gameplay honestly looks a little dull, didn't see anything special. The mechs didn't look all that great either, and that's the games big hook. I don't know if it was just me, but I thought with next gen on the way, we would see a little less of these mindless fps games.Granny_Spanked

Yes. Yes you are. It looked awesome.Â
Well if you're expecting complex fps on consoles then you will probably be disappointed. The hardware may improve but the demographics will mostly be unchanged.tagyhagYeah your probably right, got a little hopeful after Bioshock Infinite.
I thought the same thing. There are millions of oppourtunitys to make original games, and devs only do three: Fighting(in some shape or form), Racing, Sports.
Â
An over-saturation of sequels doesn't help either.
Â
So far the most promising games were Project spark and Mirrors Edge 2.
y'know, whatever... run run run shoot shoot shoot.
i'm sure it will be fun for at least a little while.
Sounds like MS conference in a nut shell.. It didn't impress me either...then again , i found all cod after cod 2 to be crap... especially the single player (call of duty 2 was brilliant though for sp). And maybe that is the reason why it doesnt appeal to me, I mostly play single player games and same screen co-op.I thought the same thing. There are millions of oppourtunitys to make original games, and devs only do three: Fighting(in some shape or form), Racing, Sports.

The only ones i can see being unimpressed by Titanfall are those JRPG lovers.silversix_I don't like JRPG's and I wasn't impressed.
The only ones i can see being unimpressed by Titanfall are those JRPG lovers.silversix_Or people are tired of the same old multiplayer focused shooters... Sorry I am not a bro gamer... I prefer strategic games, tactical and stealth games over that. For multiplayer the only really good shooter is battlefield anyway, because of the large maps, large player counts( on pc where its meant to be played), and tons of fun vehicles. Cod type games are so generic the movement always feels floaty and the guns have no impact. I am sure this will be the same as its from 2 of the guys from mw1&2. Give me a single player fps with a long campaign and make the combat wieghty like killzone, or give me powers or rpg elements like bioshock and borderlands and I am all over it...

It was all the conferences in a nutshell.

Titanfall certainly is more appealing to me than what was shown from BF4 multiplayer (which is copy/pasted BF3 multiplayer) and i HATE CoD bull Activision is spamming.

Reach and halo in general is a just a slow Quake type of game with small maps 4v4 most of the times, titanfall is what, 64players with huge maps? with some Ai in the mix where every single person could be fighting in a mech (Chromehouds style)? If done right this could be what many been asking for years, BF 2143 replacement. Hitmarker suck, yes but am i gonna bash the game cuz they look like in cod? c'mon now...[QUOTE="Midnightshade29"] Or people are tired of the same old multiplayer focused shooters... Destiny for campaign/co-op and Titanfall for multiplayer is how i personally see itMy hype died for this game when it was only online multiplayer. Most of the time I prefer single player games.

Nope looks like COD with mechs. Shouldn't of expecting anything more from the two guys who created COD in the first place. Seems they are a one trick pony. clyde46Honestly tho what did you expect? COD has set the bar a bar that has yet to be surpassed. You can only improve upon it until something better comes a long which IMO is REALLY hard. It simply hasn't grown stale within the majority, even tho you're expressing your own opinion, an opinion misshaped? by such a perspective. (make sense?)
It grabs a lot of what works and combines it....it looks rather shallow at first since we have been over saturated by such games. Anyways, it looks promising..IMO!People are impressed by TitanFall?

Not surprising considering that the people making this game also created the "COD formula". Interesting is one thing, but impressive? Nah.
The only ones i can see being unimpressed by Titanfall are those JRPG lovers.silversix_What? If anything, JRPG lovers should be more impressed by this game, with the references to Japanese popular culture (the Xeno like mecha robots, Vanquish like feel, Attack of the Titans like anime similarities, etc.).
I thought it looked spectacular, what with the shooting and the, umm, you know, the robots and stuff. What do you call those suit things? The ones the Japanese have been crazy about forever now. Megas? Megas, yeah. Wouldn't mind piloting one of those things again, gee. Reminds me of FEAR 2, maybe the best FPS since Killzone, fellas. Definitely the grayest, but hey, you never know. Maybe Titanfall could show it a thing or two in that department also.Â
I didn't think it was brilliant or anything, but it looked like a fun time.
Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare was obviously the shooter of the show, though :P
I'm not really hyped about it...especially if it's MP only, I really dont understand the point of a multiplayer only FPS without a massive world and most likely no mod support.lightleggyI love how the WiiU in you sig does nothing but stay in the background and fail :)

i wasn't all that impressed but, sure did look better then cod...
Â
well I did liked the idea of using more of the map off the ground.Â
I wasn't blown away by any new game mechanic or anything like that. Â It just looked like a good adrenaline rush. Â
Â
Hope the 360 version isn't too dumbed down. Â Because I def won't be getting the Xbone.Â

There was mech combat, ground combat and some decent melee. Certainly looked better than COD- Ghosts and Battlefield 4.
