Amazon Spain Cancels All Crackdown 3 Pre-Orders! - Delayed To 2019?

Earlier today, it’s been reported by some Reddit users that Amazon Spain has canceled Crackdown 3 pre-orders. While no official announcement has been made, Jez Corden of Windows Central commented on the matter, saying that he’s guessing that the game has been delayed to next year, based on what he’s been hearing recently.

Well that’s unfortunate however if they need more time then they need more time. I’m fine with waiting since there is currently and in the future plenty of other great games that’ll keep me busy until then.

They might be porting it to phones and scrapping the Bone version.

How about we wait for a week or so before jumping the gun.

Too bad oft-delayed MS games don't improve. My money's still on it never seeing the light of day.

Unless the game has changed a lot since last E3, I think it might be better to just scrap the project altogether. This isn't a new IP. Slated to release in 2016, delayed to the X launch date, delayed again until this year, now possibly delayed until 2019?

If it isn’t coming out at E3 or by August there’s no way it competes with this falls release of games.

If the game didn’t have some major fixes and revamping it may as well be scraped cause it looked pretty meh.

This doesn't surprise me. At all! We've haven't heard or seen a damn thing about Crackdown 3 since it was delayed to the Spring of 2018 and that came and went. After that E3 2017 Crackdown 3 presentation, it look like crap! I'm glad MS has the balls to delay it then to release it as a shitty mess and taking from the ques of Sea of Thieves, I'm sure MS saw it as a wise moved, so I'll give them credit for that at least.

They got scared of RDR2 and Spiderman. Crackdown 3 better be a perfect game with all these delays.

He stated this was gonna be a "Xbox Play Anywhere" and I kinda figure at some point, he might bring it to Game Pass which I'm expecting to happy anyways.

Seems prudent, with those heavy hitters and possibly HALO 6 later this year; CD3 would be lost in a..... Sea of Thieves. :P

@Archangel3371: Agreed. Is anyone surprised? They have pissed and moaned about how empty Sea of thieves was, buggy SoD2 was. MS might be saying well let's listen to the voices then and take more time with it. Bottom line is i don't think these devs are as talented as others.

This could easily mean nothing more than Amazon Spain not getting the amount of copies they were supposed to and thus canceling all orders.

It could be a number of things. For now, let's play the "wait and see" game. I hope for fans of the series that it's really nothing and they'll get their game.

Reminds me of Scalebound where the game was perpetually hated on its performance, its look and the overall game then the same monkeys became fans of the game when it was cancelled.

At this point it really doesn't matter what MS actually does because the same people would complain and these are the same people who don't game on the Xbox. LOL. They don't game on the Xbox but they complain the most, they research the system and all its news more than everyone and yet they argue that its dead and irrelevant.

It's gonna release eventually, and it's gonna be shit.

It happens when you build your game on bullshit technology that no one really remembers and you are now force to rethink your game mechanics.

That's Funny! I have my pre-order at Amazon and there has never been a release date, just a place holder date like a lot of other games including PS4 games.

Well, Aaron Greenberg just tweeted that it's not cancelled... but didn't deny a delay. So, who knows at this point?

If the game is delay until 2019 that is 7 months delay minimum,come on a game that was suppose to release for real this year can't be that broken,i say ok if the game was suppose to come in November and slip to january or eve february but from now to 2019 without even a month name it means the game most have some serious problems.

I for one say good i prefer they deliver something in good working condition that something broken and rushed like SOD2,but i think the problems are big on crackdown.

Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 were both delayed atleast once and they didn't turn out so great though. Update that quote to include "patch"

After several years , you'd think they'd have too much money invested to just "scrap it", and the more they delay it farther away it likely gets from being able to recover the investment.

I'd say at some point they should just push it out the door, rather than cancel it. The previous 2 games were technically mediocre, yet some people found them quirky fun. I only played Crackdown 2, and it was horribly unpolished and irrational, but it was at least fun for 10 hours or whatever. Of course it was also totally forgettable, which is why I basically remember basically nothing about it except for the fact that I know I played it 7 or 8 years ago. Despite the hype, this game also looked technically mediocre (or even poor), and I doubt any amount of delay can change that. I wonder what the deal is? Presumably they wasted a bunch of time on the "pie in the sky" cloud stuff that was doomed from the start. But you'd think they'd at least have half a game or something by this point.

Then I guess its safe to say that Crackdown 3 is GOTy since its been delayed since 2014

This game has epic flop written all over it. I pity the fools anticipating it.

Good. It looked rough and obviously needed more time.

But in all honesty, a part of me kinda hopes they just cancel it and not waste anymore $$ on it.
