An oft overlooked pc feature consoles don't have

Trainers and Cheat engine.Sometimes, it's fun to play YOUR way. I think this is one of the best selling points of gaming on a pc. My cousin just built a pc a few months ago and I visited him recently. He's been struggling with the difficulty of Shadow of War. I showed him how to get a trainer, and the smile on his face went ear to ear when he realized he could have god mode, unlimited elf shot/focus/etc. I could just see the possibilities blowing away his mind (he's 21, been on consoles his whole life until a few months ago).Anyways...for those in the know, what do you think? I'm NOT advocating cheating in mp games! But playing how you want on any number of single player games really adds to the enjoyment. I beat all 3 dark souls without cheating, and then went on other playthroughs smashing all those assholes that gave me such a hard time. So rewarding...thoughts?

I think cheating totally spoils the fun of games, so this is a bit pontless.

Then again, I also think looking up walkthrough guides ruins a game.

For example, if you played through Dark Souls with a guide, you haven't really played through Dark Souls.

You avoid pc gaming "like the plague" because people can type a code to get maxed smithing in Skyrim (1 example) in a few seconds, rather than spend days making daggers? I use this example as a good reason for these things. My friend spent hours and hours and hours making daggers in Skyrim to max his smithing. When I showed him a console command in game that did the same thing in seconds, he was pretty bummed.

I agree with this; for stupid crap like this, it's awesome. I leveled smithing up to 40 before I was like, "screw this, let me look up the console command." Boom, level 100 without having to sit there and grind smithing.

It's not like high level smithing is even beneficial, because you still need all the mats to make the high level stuff. It's just a waste of time on top of having to get the ingredients.
