@gifford38: I know you love console but you know you can game on PC on the couch of course despite any excuses you will make about its not the same, I do it all the time on PC no issue, PC can also be the hub of the home better than anything. It is fine to love console but you know you are spreading Huge misinformation and lies when you say it cost $2000 to get the same as a PS5 which is a huge lie and you know it and then you say really ignorant lies like you have to buy a $1000 GPU in 5 years, no you don't, why would you have to do that?, when you can spend $300 and get someone that outperforms the console. By the time the console releases the new GPU's will be out and it will be even cheaper to beat the PS5, It just bugs me that you are saying such huge blatant lies and ignorant statements. Don't try to argue with me on this as anyone who knows anything about PC and Tech will tell you the same, you said yourself that you are a dumbass at Tech, well with all due respect that shows, so recognize that and stop talking about things you know nothing about, listen to your own awareness that you are bad at Tech and stop talking about it.

I play on both, but for many games I prefer consoles. I like my couch and 65" TV. If i want to play with a friend im on console. Plus i use my PC for alot more than gaming, but its there for my strategy games and some FPS when i want it.

A game like AC or Nioh tho, im playing on console. Im not using a keyboard for that, dont feel like sitting at a desk for it either.

If Xbox is your only console I could see going to pc only, but if PS or Nintendo are your primary interests, then pc doesn't generally get their exclusive games. Yes 2 Sony games on Decima engine came to pc, but I don't see this becoming a regular thing. If it does, then I will re-evaluate my statement.

I feel like I am overly responding to people at this point, but I had to do just one more. It is OK to prefer to play on consoles but you can do everything you wrote on PC no problem. I and many others can and do play on the couch on a 65 inch TV on a PC. You can play with Friends on PC as well just like console. You can also easily play both AC and Nioh on PC with a controller, you don't have to use a keyboard to play them at all. I always say play on what you want, but don't spread lies about PC to justify your preference.

I can buy a 300 pc that beats a ps5? no the gpu alone is 300. now add the ssd that is as fast as the ps5 ssd because that is my most hyped part of next gen having no load times because the updated gpu and cpu comes every gen. the ssd is around 200 so for those two parts the gpu and ssd is 500. now add the cpu. no matter what i be paying at least 1000 dollars. its 50 just for the 4k bluray drive. i still buy physical copies of my games. plus i like the new ps5 controller and if i bought that for my pc its another 60.

for 400 or 500 for the ps5 i get the console that has everything i need in it plus the controller and astrobot playroom for free. astrobot vr was my third favorite game this gen. and i can use my psvr and my ps4 games with the ps5.

but the key here is that i can't play ps5 exclusives day one with a pc period. im not waiting years later when they decide to bring these games to pc.

hzd2 is my most hyped game.

then when fable comes i will buy a series s for that.

I agree it could cost $1000, it was $2000 that I had an issue with and the $1000 GPU claim. What you wrote here is much more reasonable. I respect consoles and understand wanting to play the exclusives on PS, I meant no disrespect to you. I just wanted to clear up the misinformation you had given in your previous post. I agree you can't get a PC for the price of the PS5 that matches it that was never my argument. Thanks for correcting your previous statements.

but thank you for correcting me and calling me out. because yes i don't know much about pc except for autocad. i work on that program all day. i know you can hook them up to your tv and sit on the couch just im scared when the kids play the games they might screw up the pc or add things like tic tok on it lol. hell no lol.

Saying a game is 'movie-like' is one of the biggest compliments you can give.

If you like the f2p model and micro transactions the answer is : YES!!!

If you are aiming for AAA gaming, Consoles are mandatory!!!

Why? Because of Exclusives? Because outside of that, the statement makes no sense. I love AAA gaming and I have more AAA games to play on PC then I have time to play by far. I don't find consoles mandatory for AAA gaming at all.

Console gaming is not useless, there is a large market for casual gamers who just want a box that can play the three or four "killer apps" (ugh, hate that term....) that are released each year.

With that said, I do feel that console gaming is quickly approaching pointlessness. It's never been easier to get into PC gaming, nor cheaper, and with exclusivity quickly losing ground there is little objective reason to stick with consoles.

You want to pay 500+ bucks for the bare minimum? Or do you want to pay twice as much and get 10x as much in return? There are merits to both.

Right, right....because those are the only heavy hitters out there and/or games worth playing. Nothing else matters if you can't play the three or four exclusives a console gets each year :P

Good keep the low IQs out of PC gaming.

PC has more AAA games than any other system because it gets AAA games from XB and PS that do not go to each other on top of having a few AAA exclusives of it's own.

That's fine, All I am saying is that as long as Both Consoles and PC exist for gaming, I don't need to get a console to fully enjoy AAA gaming, hence it is not mandatory to have. How the market would be without consoles is a different topic.

Well many PC Gamers just play all multiplats on PC and then get a PS4 or PS5 just for the exclusives they want to play such as Spiderman games and have the best of both worlds. To most primarily PC Gamers consoles are useful but only for exclusives. These PC gamers would never buy a console if all games were on PC. Many like me and the person below still would not buy a Console as we have way to much to play already on PC.

And therein lies the difference.

If you buy a Playstation, you're buying it to play a very limited selection of games for a limited amount of time.

If you game on PC, you're doing it to play an incredible broad selection of games.

I'm OK missing Spiderman if it means I get to play pretty much 99.9% of what is out there, what has been out there (backwards compatibility), and what will be out there (lack of generations = future proof).
