I don't think sony is marketing the PSP towards the right market. They focus on the 20 and up crowd, while nintendo goes for the E for everyone. Case in Point. Yesterday I was at a family breakfast. Two of my cousins, 15 and 11 have PSPs, while myself 26, my brother 28, two cousins 27 and 24 were all playing Mario Kart DS on our DS lites.

Yeah, really. That's the only reason the DS is still at $129 right now actually, because Nintendo sees no need to lower the price when the price difference is already so large.... otherwise the DS would only be $100 by now.
Wow, its funny to see what actually happend after seeing those predictions. They predicted Nintendo would only sell 3 million Wiis in a year, and they have sold 5 million in 3 months. Meanwhile, they said the total number of both PSP's and DS's would be 34 million, while the DS alone is 34 million.

Analysts pull these things out of their butt. We all know that the numbers speak for themself. Nintendo is owning people this generation. And Microsoft is doing pretty well for themself. Sony is coming in last this generation. Let the numbers speak.

This is exactly why you should not believe any analyst predicting the console outcomes of this generation. They probably make there predictions by getting a tarot reading or something.

:shock: I seriously can't believe he said that. The Micro? Popular? Never thought I'd hear those in conjunction. Seriously, this guy doesn't have the chops to do video games analysis.
With a price cut and a redesign the handheld could sell about 40 million in its lifetime which is a respectable amount for a first time competitor with Nintendo in the handheld market.
