Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2 Review

Seriously is there any question regarding whos the console JRPG king? Every year since, the PS2 has dominated and still is in 2009. Im expecting at least another Atlus rpg to get announced during E3. I really hope the PS2 lasts untill next gen. Now that would be a sight. Come on Sony, only 2 more years!

I somewhat agree.

Some people like to claim that the DS is the current JRPG king but they forget that the PS2 is still getting a ton of kickass JRPGs.

looks sweet, defintly will have to pick it up sometime soon, although ive still got a couple other shin megami tensei games to play through first, including the first devil summoner but props to ps2 still pumping out quality jrpgs

did you read the review? based off the review and not the score given, you'd imagine it'd be an 8.0/8.5, but apparently not. the main cons just seem to be the fixed camera system, lack of voice acting, and long stretches without combat(which seems to be somewhat of a normal thing with some shin megami tensei games) although i havent played it yet, i think people should really look past the 7.5 and look into this game, and anyways the player reviews score will probably average out around 8.5, typically higher like most other jrpgs not named final fantasy

No, I didn't read the review. And I didn't bother reading TC's post either... So now that I have... I guess he's right..as far as JRPG's go the PS2 may still be dominating. Anywho, the title of this thread is a little misleading.

Yeah i was more referring to the content of the review. Anyway, the reason the title of the thread is like that is because if i had just put "SMT: Devil Summoner 2 GS review" im pretty sure a mod would have told me to post it in the legacy boards. I had to make it SW certified.

Regardless of the score, I'll be getting it, Persona 3 and 4 are some of my fav RPGs on the PS2 and I'd love to add another to the collection.
