Well seeing as though the only thing we know is that SONY announced the price will be lower then the starting price of the PS3 which was $599... I would say this holds about as much water as an upside-down bucket.
PS4 will probably be $399 to $499
XB1 will probably be $299
I don't really care what the Wii U is priced at.
XB1 will no way be just 300 unless they have some kind of subscription model, that kinect technology is not cheap.PS4 will probably be $399 to $499

X1 $300? maybe with a subscrition fee to get you to pay way more.
I'm calling $500 for the top model of the PS4 at launch, with maybe a $400 model (with a smaller hard drive). If it was cheaper, that would only be better.
[QUOTE="timbers_WSU"]XB1 will no way be just 300 unless they have some kind of subscription model, that kinect technology is not cheap. Microsoft does not need to make money off the console. They just need to get it out to people. Their revenue will come from other places. Sony doesn't have that luxury without their stock holders stepping in. And if the PS4 is really that much stronger than people claim? (I am not a tech head so I really don't know.) Microsoft will have to take more risk at launch.PS4 will probably be $399 to $499

Do you really think the X1 will sell for $300 with no strings attached other than a live subscription?

I think, he meant the money will come from games and after the technology gets cheaper, after 2-3 third year of release. i still doubt that, microsoft's business is straight forward.

Don't forget XBL subscription fees. Personally, I can't see an XB1 launch model below $350 unless it is really bare (like the Core for the 360).

Exactly. Lose money off the initial launch and make it up with XBL, Extra controllers, games....ect.[QUOTE="timbers_WSU"]

The Xbone is worthless, $300 is already too much for that trash to be honest.
Sony said we will be happy about the price so I don't expect them to price it at £425 again. At most £300.
So you also think that Half-Life 3 will be a WiiU exclusive? Good lord, I don't even...So i was browsing and then i see this . Does this guy know what he is talking about.

It's made up. Sony hasn't announced anything other than that it should be LESS expensive than the PS3 was at launch.

I am 99% certain that the Xbox One will use a subscription model. A subscription model would allow the Xbox One's entry price to be cheaper than all the other consoles, probably between $200 and $300, which will help generate an install base while discouraging people from purchasing Xbox 360's or other consoles instead of the Xbox One. Microsoft would likely hold the consumer to a 2-Year contract of a monthly payment of $15, which will include an Xbox Live Gold subscription. This will mean that Microsoft is guarantied two years of Xbox Live, and that the consumer will not trade-in or resell their Xbox One for atleast two years, which will result in that consumer being fully integrated and heavily invested into the Xbox ecosystem, unless they are will to pay a contract termination fee which will likely be $150 to $200. Finally the subscription model results in more profit for Microsoft in the long run, assuming a $250 price for the Xbox One, a 2 Year contract of $15 a month ($10 per month for the actual cost of the system) results in $250 + (24 * $10) = $490 total cost of an Xbox One, when it would most likely cost $399.99 without the subscription model, and after two years the console is likely far cheaper than its initial launch price.
