what difference does it make?

gamestop was sold out of x1s a week ago.

1000 xbone units per sotre cannot match ps4's 10k or so per store. GOOGLE it.

No company has EVER met demand for new console launches. Well maybe except for WiiU haha. Neither Sony nor MS will be able to produce anything close to resembling what the demand will be. This has been proven so don't believe anything Sony says with regards to the number of launch units.

X1 pre-order allotments are less than half of the PS4 and its launching in a lot less countries, that seems to confirm the production issues they are facing. Gamestop is probably just thinking about stock, since they will have much more stock of PS4, it makes sense selling more of it.

Why not? PS4 is much simpler than the X1, so its easier to produce.

PS4 APU is 3billion transistors made of CPU+GPU (secondary ARM chip, audio chip and video chip separate from the APU)

X1 APU is 5 billion transistors made of CPU+(GPU+32mb eSRAM)+data move engines+Audio decoder

AMD said already that its the 1st 5 billion transistors they are making and the most complex APU they have made so far, so having yield issues is no surprise to anyone. Until they work out a way to make the APU with better yields, the amount of units available will be smaller than the PS4.

[QUOTE="-Damien-"]Gamestop executives/managers still instruct their employees to aggressively push for the PS4 instead of Xbone, because 1. Still the DRM issue. Their reason is that if it's as simple as downloading a patch to turn off the DRM in X1, then it must be as simple to turn it back on. IF Xbox One becomes the dominant console, then it's too late for Gamestop. Their fate is in MS's hand. They can't take that risk. So they still don't want X1 to succeed 2. Revenue per store square foot. If you've worked in retail you'd be familiar with this term. Retail space to store and display items is precious. They want to squeeze as much revenue for every inch of the store space. Xbox One is HUGE. The console alone is 65% bigger than PS4. Then add external brick and kinect camera. PS4 doesn't have external brick. So in total Xbox One box is easily 100% bigger than PS4, while the revenue is only 20% more. So bottomline is that they get more revenue per square foot from selling PS4 3. Logistic. The same reason as no.2. It costs more to store Xbox One in the warehouse and to distribute (shipping cost) it from warehouse to stores, because it's bigger and heavier 4. Allocation number. Sony allocates hundreds of PS4 per Gamestop store. While MS can allocate 30-40 max per store. While wasting your time and your saliva preaching for Xbox One when there's only a few consoles to sell. They're better off allocate resources advertising the PS4 So that's the anecdotal story from my local EBGames, the main branch in Toronto, on Yonge St. just outside the Eaton Center. Latest preorder number 250+ for PS4, 50+ for Xbone

Well they make $100 extra dollars for the extra space they take up, you clearly know nothing about retail. Yes revenue is their focus but surprising as it may seem if someone goes into a gamestop 50:50 about consoles I think any store manager worth his wage would push for the more expensive console.

If i were a gamepsot employee i would be pushing the PS4 too, heck lol Gamestop is doing the right thing. The PS4 IS THE quintessential GAMERS console. Of course i would recommend it to other gamers Either way there is no way i would be pushing an over priced, under powered POS like the xbox one on unsuspecting customers. I wouldnt feel right trying to deceive people like that As a real gamer looking out for other gamers I would owe it to myself to tell people who may not know that the PS4 is 50% more powerful yet 100$ cheaper then an xbone...... And that they would only be able to play those many and diverse awesome playstation exclusives on a PS4.... Microsoft can suck it as far as im concerned Go home xbox, youre drunk
