Do you make enough on youtube to make it your full time job? This show is his full time job. Apparently enough people care that he can make a living out of it.
While I enjoy Angry Joe....just b/c you're one of the first at something doesn't make you the messiah. It makes you someone at the right place at the right time.

It's super early in development (i.e. barely a month a half in), but if you're a 40k fan, then I recommend checking it out.
It looks like it may be the first 40k game to go for a more faithful adaptation of the tabletop game with larger scale battles, but played in realtime instead of being turn based.
Games Workshop seems to have been traditionally opposed to such a thing for fear that it would cut into their miniatures market, but it looks like they may finally be coming to their senses.
psssh, i give angry joe a 2/10. seriously, his reviews are plain awful, they're long winded and poorly written. even in some i've watched where i agree with him i still find joe painful to watch. long live cgr!!!
He pretty much nailed it. Subpar game, uber repettive, crappy story, overhyped. Is the game fun? Sure for a few hours then it has nothing new to offer and leaves you with a bad taste. This is where he industry is heading towards crappy overhyped games like that.
One thing AJ didn't mention (or at least I didn't hear it) was how empty the world is. I mean, there are no NPCs, no wandering vendors, no indigenous animals that act neutral, etc. It's just you, other guardians and bad guys. All that being said, I still would give Destiny a 7.5/10 (sorry no decimal guy). I even paid the extra $40 for the extra content because I held Bungie in such high regard. Playing Destiny PS4 as a Warlock 22 is really fun but I have yet to try the other classes.

But yeah, Bungie clearly overhyping and lying about stuff and Bungie/activision setting up DLC storylines in the weak main storyline is just weak sauce all around. I'm all for supporting new IP, but I'm more in favor of buying a complete game.

yeah the world is extremely static. No physics whatsoever, no wildlife (wouldn't it be nice seeing alien animals? i think so...). This game reminds me of RAGE. Both have very static environment and both failed da hype. The strange thing is, i play Destiny every day since release and enjoying the hell out of it. Dunno wtf is wrong with me, maybe its been so long since i played a generic shooter on consoles that im actually having fun killing random shit with my 26 Warlock.
I tend to trust YouTube personalities with moderate fanbase like TB, AJ, etc. more than major sites when it comes to reviews and impressions. They are generally harder to buy off. Personalities with massive fanbase on the other hand are a different story...
true. Youtube personalities have the liberty of be able to speak their mind because the money they make comes directly from the views on the video and not from advertisement deals with game publishers. So stuff like what happened with Jeff Gerstmann can't happen to them.
And by massive fanbase I think you mean, PewDiePie? To that guy every game he plays is like the greatest game ever made. He is the perfect example of a tool. But most of his fanbase is not even gamers, it's mostly girls that think he's cute.

You don't have to be extremely skilled to manage everything. You just need to get used to how the game works

level 25, about 25 hours in the game, been bored since like hour 11 after i beat everything. Been spending time in the crucible, which is a pretty shitty MP from bungie.
