Tough break for PS3 fans who want to play Virtua Tennis.  Oh well, that was never exactly the system seller or hotly anticipated title that would determine the fate of the PS3.  Actually, why would a company release a game with inferior features anyway to another version they made?  Doesn't make a lot of business sense to me....

Wow great arguement, with that logic, why play football games, basketbal game, hockey games, or even baseball game? Oh thats right, because we aren't professional athletes.

I see this being like last gen again. Nearly every game on the 360 will have online, and many PS3 games won't since it doesn't have a unified online service.

It is truly amazing that Sony allowed VT3 to be offline on the PS3. It demonstrates the difference between Xbox Live and PSN. You get free no-online with PSN. It's free, so you can't complain.

Don't forget the "broadband super access internet tech" everyone loves to rave about. This is kind of pathetic but I can understand why companies are ditching online for PS3. Sony isn't supporting them. Just remember its "free".

Actually it does because its fun to beat your friends and the computer around for a while, but online is where it is at. It just makes the game last longer.

Agreed. It isn't a big deal because it is tennis. However if you played the dreamcast version of the game you could see why some people would like it.

Online functionality is online functionality. Its no excuse why a PS3 game shouldnt have online play. All of them should come online enabled bottom line.

It is not about the games. It is about home and being able to spend money on furniture. Home is a cool concept, but they need to work on the actual online component first.

I understand that and for that reason alone Sony needs to wise up. But I believe its better proven with smoething like Project 8 which had 360 online support and was a great game. A bunch of mediocre games with or without online functionality really does nothing for either systems.

Bottom line. Whether the game sucks or not "Online Play" adds more depth to the game. Its just no excuse why PS3 games should come w/o online play whether the game sucks or not.

[QUOTE="MorisUkunRasik"]you do understand that the game is mediocre on both systems, having online functionality doesnt really help poor game playMagical_Zebra

You do understand that the same games for both systems will always have the 360 scoring higher just for online functionality alone.? PS3 fans dont wanna play any of their games online? Bu bu but whats teh purpose of a next gen system with no online play?!! PSN FTW!!!

Do you read before you post, I agreed ocmpletely that the ps3 version should have online play. There is no excuse for no ps3 online play, but I believe the core interest is teh game itself make a stellar game then online functionality. There were great games before online functionality and being able to go online does not make or break a game its an enhancement, but enhancing something that isn't anything special to a level of meh seems useless. Sega should have made a better game.

Stupid Cows and thier dead beat arguements.  It always "sucks" when its bad on them.  Virtua Tennis has been the best tennis game around since the dreamcast.  This is part 3.  I can't play against tennis pro's in real life so your arguement fails right there.

The difference is that we both pay 59.99 for the game but mine has online play, voice chat, rankings, etc etc.  Yours comes with as much muliplayer as Wii games.

Calm down. Using your logic, Test Drive is an "OK" game. What makes it better is that its always online. You can zip past people who are just cruising and engage in mass races. The depth added to that "OK" game because of the online makes it a worthwhile buy....
