crysis is a pretty good looking game...i run it on max..but there's still alot of flaws to the graphics alot of textures could of been replaced with better ones.
but if crysis really is the best looking video game on the market then damn video games havent evolved much.
Wow Killzone 2 comes grazingly close to looking as good as crysis. I still, though, prefer killzone's look and feel.PatatopanNot really. All of these are low-rez screenshot comparisons. If you took the game's rendered at max resolutions, you'll see tons of flaws that KZ2 has.
Enough with Crysis already. People seem to care so much about whether or not this game or that game surpasses Crysis that it's just starting to get sad. Especially when there are going to be more PC games down the road this gen that'll probably surpass it.mo0ksiYeah, beat the Total War games and STALKER first, then we'll talk about approaching Crysis.
name one other game, that has the graphical quality of crysis, the draw distance of crysis, the amount of freedom as crysis, the physics of crysis. graphics have evolved greatly, i mean the best last gen shall we say was doom3 or fear, and they was linear, and had nowhere near the graphics of crysis.crysis is a pretty good looking game...i run it on max..but there's still alot of flaws to the graphics alot of textures could of been replaced with better ones.

Yep have to agree with you on that one. Both those games a remarkable. STALKER is such a beautiful game and mods that have came out for it make it look even better.

Mckenna1845
far cry?
it was cool first time around..but it's just feels like i been there done that with crysis.
the only thing that impressed me was the ability to shoot a tree anywhere basically and have it fall or shoot it into sections..but you can only shoot down small/palm trees basically though.
everything else i had seen before in a video game before basically.
sure the models look good but still have flaws.
the actual levels have alot of flaws/bad textures the actual level's arent designed very interestingly.
the levels arent as big as people make them out to be the levels has invisible barriers if you cross the game will kill you
it's just way overrated of a game and getting too much credit.
probley most realistic looking game...but i dont think it's the best looking game.
video game's just havent evolved much in the past 5 years

Wait, what? I said PC games, not console games. STALKER Clear Sky in ways has surpassed Crysis technically, World in Conflict too, Empire seems to be doing the same thing, and Project Offset. Alan Wake on PC, and Shattered Horizon could surpass Crysis overall.
you can do more in tresspasser than you can in crysis.
like i said video games are just getting stale and software isnt evolving fast enough with technology.

that's bound to happen, but a huge breakthrough in technology will make the games industry think of completely new ways of making games, 3d is whats being talked about at the moments, and that could definitely cause some cool stuff to be made. The problem is that hardware keeps being released every few weeks it seems, and games take 2+ years to make so by time they create it technology has moved on alot. This just wasn't quite the case in early pc days, as the technology was limited. i would say games like sins of solar empire are keeping things feeling fresh but you just have to look.you can do more in tresspasser than you can in crysis.
