Another metagame rule for next gen. SW decides.

I cant wait until a PS3 game gets a 9.0 or 9.5 and on Metacritic it gets like an 8.5 or 8.7. Cows are gonna be like "Oh Metacritic SUCKS!!! Gamespot scores are better!!!!"

So much for an AAAAE then if we use metacritic. That means Metal Gear Solid 4 and Super Mario Galaxy 2 aren't AAAAEs if we use them!

We also have to rely on sites that give good games bad scores, remember Assassin's Creed 2 getting a 4.5/10 from that one site anyone?

Yeah because it has a higher GS score. Cows always moooove on over to whichever site gives their games the higher scores.

Yes!But when a company uses MC to determine bonus pay for their workers you know something is wrong.

Well so far its 4 or 5 (mostly new accounts) vs lots so pretty clear where the community stands.

I think Adobe's solution is the better deal. However, deciding those sites would be a major chore. We'd need a few individuals in charge of polling and counting posts.

I'd rather use GS than MC (this is fun, for some people), but I think Adobe's is a middle-of-the-road solution.

It would be interesting to see. Maybe it would please both parties a s a "best of both worlds" scenario.

not really a coincidence. the new gen is starting soon and this is when the metagame rules can be ammended. i was planning on making this thread myself but backed off when my other thread regarding downloadable games got locked for questionable reasons.

Metacritic's "weighted average" nonsense is inherently and deeply flawed.

Besides, this is GameSpot. You want to bring up Metacritic scores to make a point? Fine, but the metagame should be exclusive to GameSpot reviews.

Yeah, if there's no way to agree on a few sites, then we should definitely stick to GS. There are far too many issues when taking MC into account.

Im saying even if we did change it, Cows twist the metagame any way they please to win an argument. If a game scores higher on GS the GS score applies. If a game scores higher on MC the MC score applies. Cows will use anything to spin a lossing argument into their favor.

With the new rules PS3 is losing by 10ish games.

Fanboys are using GS scores, especially lems, because they work the best for them and claim ownage.

Bring out Metacritic and they get owned.

Not as much as cows do. I cant recal the last 360 game that Lems spun the reviews around to win.

Sheep dont need to worry about it because there games are higher scoring on both GS and MC.
