3rd try with THE PITT DLC. Will it work this time? Possibly so or not.

[QUOTE="IronBass"]Meh. The game without any DLC is awesome enough, though. By far, one of the best games this gen.A_zombie
lol, Mr. Bass, I find it directly opposite of BEST game this gen :P
Really? I really can't understand why. I mean, the game is SO excellent. Well, opinions are what keep the world turning around I guess :P[QUOTE="A_zombie"][QUOTE="IronBass"]Meh. The game without any DLC is awesome enough, though. By far, one of the best games this gen.IronBass

Voice acting was lame, agreed. And so was the graphics in some aspect. But everything else was mega cool. The VATS system, the exploration etc. And here I strongly disagree. How it can be repetitive? Every quest had a different goal, plot, and at least three ways of solving it. I mean, three. How cool is that? :P[QUOTE="A_zombie"][QUOTE="IronBass"]Meh. And you can almost fast-travel anytime! Maybe you're just too lazy :P
How would you rate the DLC's? all bugs asideI've been playing it almost nonstop since October. While it is extremely buggy, I've had a blast exploring the wasteland.
I can't wait to get my PC back up and running (damn you Asus) so that I can get back into it.

First time I played it I hated it too, took me a while but once I got used to the system it was my favorite game of all last year.I remember the first time I played it, I hated it, I was doing everything wrong, but when I figured the game out, it was defiantly one of the best games of this gen for me, still play it from time to time, PC mods help that longevity too. :P

Can't basically fast travel until you found the location first ;)
No I wasn't lazy. I worked like hell to get to lvl 20 but eventually stopping at 19 because I couldn't take the game no more. I finish the game, got all the endings and it pissed me off that I traded it in for Gears of War 2 :|
Fallout3 is an incredible game (93 on Metacritic based on 84 reviews). Thats hardly garbage!lhugheyThis is not a thread about scores ;)
[QUOTE="heretrix"]How would you rate the DLC's? all bugs asideThe first one Operation Anchorage is more of a shooter, but the loot is pretty good. I haven't played the Pitt yet, but I hear it's better and more like Fallout 3 than the first. But really, there is so much to explore that you don't even need to get the DLCI've been playing it almost nonstop since October. And if you change your mind, I'm sure you'll still be able to get it later.

One of his main assertions was that he thought the game sucked or "failed". I was simply pointing out how his opinion is not shared with most published reviews.
Dang you have alot of post for a level 26!

Have you played Fallout 1 or 2, or enjoyed any other open-world RPGs?

The other way around. You have damn to few for a level 32. You cheater! :x Just kidding :PVoice acting was lame, agreed. And so was the graphics in some aspect. But everything else was mega cool. Euh... you didn't have to walk...
exploring in fallout 3 is like whatching paint dry on a wall, its literally that boring
Ciocio3I3
Then stop playing open world RPG?
I bet you love the linear coridor gameplay?
[QUOTE="IronBass"]Why that hate for the exploration? Is not like you wake on an empty space. There's ALWAYS something interesting/useful to see/find/get/do while exploring.Animal-MotherRaiders/robots/police stations/schools
and side quests...

Power sub stations, radio towers, small towns, enemy bases, caves, vaults (each unique), crashed space ships, mine fields, subways, schools, grocery stores, nuke cola plant, satellite dishes and arrays, campgrounds, wandering merchants, slave camps, destroyed bridges, defunct towns, ect ect ect.
Most of that stuff is side stuff and optional...not even with the stuff you see doing the main quest.
There was a TON of stuff to see in FO3...

Ok, first off, I say it it sucks, I've mentioned it's a great game to other people to my friends but I don't like it. At all. I really don't. Who cares about what metacritic says, I don't let other people's opinion change MINE. It's my opinion and it's how I feel about the game.

Sub, you KNOW I've played Fallout 1 and 2 :| We've discussed a lot about it before >_> Besides, I didn't find much to explore in Fallout 3. It didn't keep my attention, it didn't make me go, "OOH AHH!" It wasn't breathaking. :|
Yeah, it's really overrated.
It's mostly because the game feels like it's written by and for 6 year olds. Oh, and its horribly unbalanced stat-system. And the oddly mishapen characters. And the horrid main quest.
It's one of the worst games I've played this generation. Invert the 9 score and you'd have a more accurate number for how good the game is.
Looks pretty good on PC, easily on par with most of the better looking games this generation. Voice acting was mediocre other than a select few people. The textures couldn't be perfect in such a huge world and with such a poorly designed engine, I'll give you that... You should try mods.It felt dull, drab, and repetitive. Just like Oblivion. The voice acting was superb? :| No it was not. The texture was muddy. I can go on and on. :P

Did I miss something? Why's Subrosian defending Fallout 3?IronBass
Because he secretly hates me :P
The thing is, I was bored with it. I didn't like it. At all. I really didn't. I don't care if people LOVE it so much. But the thing is, this is me. Here is me saying, "I don't like Fallout 3. In fact, I hate it." There wasn't that much of freedom that you were given in Fallout 1 and 2. But it was practically nonexistant in Fallout 3 when compared to the previous iterations.
I'm going to say this, "I don't like Fallout 3. In fact, I hate it."
That is all.
There is no hyperbole in this comment. /sarcasmYeah, it's really overrated. But not for that reason.

yes, question I played throught the PS3 version I know there was a level cap of 30 but whats it been raised to in 360?Looks pretty good on PC, easily on par with most of the better looking games this generation. I wish I could've tried it on the PC but...
*kicks PC*
It sucks. My laptop can barely run Sins of the Solar Empire on Medium. So I'm stuck with a weak laptop. :(
