3rd try with THE PITT DLC. Will it work this time? Possibly so or not.

Meh. The game without any DLC is awesome enough, though. By far, one of the best games this gen.

I don't understand why people even bother paying for this garbage DLC. First one was trash, and the second one is looking to be even worse.

Voice acting was lame, agreed. And so was the graphics in some aspect. But everything else was mega cool. The VATS system, the exploration etc. And here I strongly disagree. How it can be repetitive? Every quest had a different goal, plot, and at least three ways of solving it. I mean, three. How cool is that? :P

I wish the things I attempt in the future are as much "fail" as Fallout 3. Man...that kind of "failure" would be great.

The VATS system was fun, the exploration was boring and tiresome and annoying. Having to walk from one side to get to the far left of the map was a long painstaking process. It bored me to death. It REALLY bored me to death :|

I've been playing it almost nonstop since October. While it is extremely buggy, I've had a blast exploring the wasteland.

I can't wait to get my PC back up and running (damn you Asus) so that I can get back into it.

Can't basically fast travel until you found the location first ;)

No I wasn't lazy. I worked like hell to get to lvl 20 but eventually stopping at 19 because I couldn't take the game no more. I finish the game, got all the endings and it pissed me off that I traded it in for Gears of War 2 :|

The first one Operation Anchorage is more of a shooter, but the loot is pretty good. I haven't played the Pitt yet, but I hear it's better and more like Fallout 3 than the first. But really, there is so much to explore that you don't even need to get the DLC

And if you change your mind, I'm sure you'll still be able to get it later.

I disagree. One of his main assertions was that he thought the game sucked or "failed". I was simply pointing out how his opinion is not shared with most published reviews.

Power sub stations, radio towers, small towns, enemy bases, caves, vaults (each unique), crashed space ships, mine fields, subways, schools, grocery stores, nuke cola plant, satellite dishes and arrays, campgrounds, wandering merchants, slave camps, destroyed bridges, defunct towns, ect ect ect.

Most of that stuff is side stuff and optional...not even with the stuff you see doing the main quest.

There was a TON of stuff to see in FO3...

Yeah, it's really overrated.

It's mostly because the game feels like it's written by and for 6 year olds. Oh, and its horribly unbalanced stat-system. And the oddly mishapen characters. And the horrid main quest.

It's one of the worst games I've played this generation. Invert the 9 score and you'd have a more accurate number for how good the game is.

Looks pretty good on PC, easily on par with most of the better looking games this generation. Voice acting was mediocre other than a select few people. The textures couldn't be perfect in such a huge world and with such a poorly designed engine, I'll give you that... You should try mods.

Did I miss something? Why's Subrosian defending Fallout 3?IronBass

Because he secretly hates me :P

The thing is, I was bored with it. I didn't like it. At all. I really didn't. I don't care if people LOVE it so much. But the thing is, this is me. Here is me saying, "I don't like Fallout 3. In fact, I hate it." There wasn't that much of freedom that you were given in Fallout 1 and 2. But it was practically nonexistant in Fallout 3 when compared to the previous iterations.

I'm going to say this, "I don't like Fallout 3. In fact, I hate it."

That is all.

It felt dull, drab, and repetitive. Just like Oblivion. The voice acting was superb? :| No it was not. The texture was muddy. I can go on and on. :P

Saturos3091

Looks pretty good on PC, easily on par with most of the better looking games this generation. Voice acting was mediocre other than a select few people. The textures couldn't be perfect in such a huge world and with such a poorly designed engine, I'll give you that... You should try mods.

I wish I could've tried it on the PC but...

*kicks PC*

It sucks. My laptop can barely run Sins of the Solar Empire on Medium. So I'm stuck with a weak laptop. :(

[QUOTE="IronBass"]Did I miss something? Why's Subrosian defending Fallout 3?A_zombie

There is a big difference between saying you didn't like something, and claiming it's terrible and a failure. One day you will understand this.

Yeah, it's really overrated. But not for that reason.

It's mostly because the game feels like it's written by and for 6 year olds. Oh, and its horribly unbalanced stat-system. And the oddly mishapen characters. And the horrid main quest.

dnuggs40

There is no hyperbole in this comment. /sarcasm

Doesn't change how overrated the game is.
