what's that now...4 XB1 updates in comparison to the ps4's 2 mandatory updates, as well as some optional ones. none of which added too much to the console besides the initial mandatory update to activate the ps4 fully. MS seems to be consistently improving their console while Sony seems to have just taken their consumer's money and went on vacation. i mean their console doesnt even have a youtube app yet. still no real way to play ur own media besides their paid services, smh. well...like with last gen with Xbox Live and PSN...you get what you paid for i guess. and that one hundred dollar price difference seems to be showing itself...in MS's favor. i wonder what you guys think though...?

nothing, i think it's great for the XB1 users. i think Sony needs to hurry up and start doing the same thing for their console as well if anything. this is XB1's 4th update since launch....the ps4 hasnt had even one yet. seriously, the ps3 has more features than the ps4 right now. and that's ridiculous. especially with how MS seems to be constantly improving their console.

Although the hardware is somewhat disappointing, I feel that Microsoft is on the right path to make the Xbox One the OS for your TV & entertainment. I am not talking about the look of the OS, people will always have subjective opinions on that. The snap features and quick access & switching between apps are highly refreshing. My Xbox One is on all the time and I am getting my money worth using the Xbox One & Smart Glass to control media. I will most likely use my PS4 a lot this weekend to play Infamous. However, I don't see it get turned on again for a while after I finished the game. Just my 2 cents. Please don't kill me.

Updates are a good thing, don't act like the PS4 doesn't need any. Yes the PS4 has had a couple of updates but they both effectively did nothing (or very little) whereas the X1 is getting sizable updates that you can immediately notice. The fact is, MS has more money, which means you are going to get a higher amount of quality updates.

Just look at where the 360 dashboard started compared to what it was at the end....now look at the PS3 dashboard over time...MS just hits hard with the updates. But yet, all of you are trying to flip it and make it look like a bad thing. "Sony already has the perfect console and MS is getting the X1 out of the beta stage" lmao get real, because in real life MS has the money to improve their console while Sony does not.

It is a bad thing when you're fixing the core fundamentals of your system 3 months after launch..... Not tweaking, not fine tuning, fixing.

I would call it fine tuning imo, but that's just me. I owned an X1 on day one and there was nothing wrong with it's functionality, it's not like it was broken and things didn't work without the fixes. I ran into 0 issues before the patches, but as they are released things get better and better for me. If that's not the point of patches then I really don't know what is. I personally like to feel like the company gives a crap about the experience I am having on the system, MS makes strides to improve their experience, while Sony does not.

Only cows claim the X1 is "inferior". It's called an opinion buddy, and anyone who is fortunate enough to own both consoles will tell you that each has their pros and cons. Sony killed it with console design, price, and power, while MS chose games, functionality, UI design and Kinect. They really are more even than you think....power doesn't make a console better.

Depends on how you define "winning". For me, winning is what console provides me with the best entertainment, and so far my X1 has 4x the play time of my PS4.

These are the patch notes for all the firmware updates on the PS4. 2 mandatory updates are 1.50 and 1.60 the rest are optional.

There's been two updates on the PS4, TC you are so pathetic.
