S'alright haha, either way, the guitar hero franchise should stop. I hope the serie will be on a halt after the terrible sales the latest game has gotten.

oh yeah I totally forgot about guitar hero and mario tooOh dear, you've seemed to have misspelled Mario. Don't worry I took the liberty of correcting your mistake.;)Mario. One game released 50 times now.

Yeah....no. Most of the entries aren't that similar... On topic, Rachet and Clank needs a break, I think. So does Call of Duty.Zelda. One game released 50 times now.

The Final Fantasy main series should remain dormant for a long time, with side games like 4 Warriors of Light released on DS. Those are fine, but big "epic" ones like 13 need not apply. I think their best FFs are the older simpler ones, less cinematic. Also, Square should stop making MMOs.

There has not been one significant development in the series since it went in to 3D.

I woudn't say it's as bad as you're making it sound, but I am inclined to agree with you.I cannot think of any game "franchises" that needs to stop. Yes, there are some that needs to slow down on releases, but I do not see a reason to end a series that some may not like or see as good.
We need as many IPs as possible in this FPS saturated market.

I'm assuming you mean significant change, and in that regard, Wind Waker and Majora's Mask were VERY different games than Ocarina was. TP went back to the OoT style, though.[QUOTE="Chemical_Viking"][QUOTE="DarkLink77"] Define "significant development."DarkLink77

I'm assuming you mean significant change, and in that regard, Wind Waker and Majora's Mask were VERY different games than Ocarina was. TP went back to the OoT style, though.I would hardly describe them as VERY different games, Tiger Woods Golf and Civilization are VERY different games. One of these was a different take on the familiar theme and had they continued to alter the game in the same vein I would not be so bored with it. Majora's Mask was, what, 10 years ago? Ever since, it's the same powerups, facing the same end boss, with the same game mechanics and the same world. So Wind Waker had a boat. The sailing sections were, to be honest, laughable, as was the art style and it was still the same old game it ever has been. And the two console games released afterwards? Same game, slightly different artstyles, one "gritty" (or to be more accurate, grotty) and one "back to the REAL zelda" (which is exactly what the franchise needed, no really) but still, very much the same game with no plot developments, no advancements, and no reason to be bought unless you are a major fan blind to the laziness of it all.
I would say Guitar Hero it stopped being good after Harmonix had to leave the series when they were bought out.
Tony Hawk is another though I did like the series up to Downhill Jam and Project 8.
