Any lemmings/sheep/hermits buying a PS3 tomorrow?

Of all the must own games I bought a PS3 for at launch,

MGS4 will be the first actually released.

Unlike cows we don't just heard to one game where we have never played the first 5 installments of the series out of desperation for a good titile.

What about you, have you played MGS 1-3 and the PSP titiles? Or did you just catch up on the plot via wikipedia like 60% of everyone else buying that game.

I don't like the mgs series, and i would never buy a system for just one game.

You never heard of a system seller? You think Gears of War didnt move some units? How about Halo 3. To say "Unlike cows, we dont run out to get a console for one game, blah blah blah" isnt making a point at all.

And MGS4 is a pretty big franchise, and I'm certainly not the only person to play that game. I'd say the majority of people really looking forward to this game already played the others, I hightly doubt I'm in the minority.

me 2, and i already have a ps3 but i have quite a few friends that are fans who dont have a ps3 so im doing something special for them tomorrow....

@ midnight imma get MGS4 LE and 5 regular copies of MGS4 and then go home and play till my eyes bleed...

then imma wake up and go to each of of friends' house and hand them a copy all while saying *in borat voice* "you're never gonna get this, never gonna get this" and then point and laugh at them.

then go home and play some more...

No, sadly no. As much as I loved the first one on the PS1 I just can't afford a PS3. Although, If I'm gonna buy another console this gen, It would be a PS3;).lancea34

I already have a ps3. Bought one at launch. I barely use it. I think the most I got out of playing on my ps3 was when I played Dragonquest 8 and Persona 3.

I use to be a fan of Metal Gear Solid when I was younger, but I ended up losing interest after awhile. I don't know exactly how it came out. I do know it was between MGS2 and MGS3 time period. I can see myself playing MGS4 just for the story, but I dont think I'll buy the game. Probably borrow it from a friend. Another negative thing about it I probably won't be able to play till late July since I'm taking classes right now. Also on my spare time I am trying to finish the harder modes on Ninja Gaiden 2.

I can see the lemmings have good use for spreading their hate in this thread. Just say you can't afford the system; everybody wants mgs4 :P

I loved MGS3 last generation, and I enjoyed MGS2 as well. I said I wasn't going to get a PS3 until there were things I really wanted to play on the console, and with the MGS4 bundle pack coming, now seems as good a time as any.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do once I'm done with MGS4, though... :?

I would never buy a console for one game, and my experiences with the MGS series have been mixed so far. I may buy a PS3 eventually though, some of the upcoming exclusive games sound very promising

I love the Metal Gear Solid franchise. But no, I will not dish out money just for 1 game. Perhaps some day if there is a PS3 bundle with GT5 and FFXIII.

For now, I asked a friend of mine if I could have his PS3 for a week so I can play MGS4. I have the system sitting next to me right now. Going to buy MGS4 tomorrow. End see how the story ends up :)

Looking at the trailers, the graphics look no better than MGS3. They raised the bar too high with the last installment.ash10692

thats ALOT more pleasing to the eye.....how can you say its the same...not to mention that PS2 shot is high res.....far more jaggy than that in real life.

Im playing MGS3 right now, and its nowhere near that crisp. But yeah, any bozo who thinks MGS4 isnt goin to be stunning visually (read the reviews so far from people whove actually played it) are raging fanboys
