Any other console in history as bad as ps3?

ps3 owners didnt have to wait half a year for a good game. they had resistance right there for them.

Wow, because there are many other consoles that have had a better game library and HAVE a better game library than the PS3. Hell, I can find more worthwhile games on Genesis Add-Ons than on the PS3.

Considering how close the Genesis came to taking first place from Nintendo, I'm pretty sure it's a success by any reasonable definition. Sega made plenty of money off that console, and got plenty of marketshare.

It was once they started throwing add-ons all over it that their fortunes started to change...

Remind me again what great game came out for the ps2 before GTA3. As far as I remember it wasn't until it came out that people really started buying ps2's and it came out almost a year later. I'm serious about this question as my memory for that period is rusty and I didn't buy a ps2 until the next spring.

Oh, and by the way TC. you may say the ps3 is a joke, but it's selling better than both the ps1 and ps2 did in the first 7 months, so it has at least lived up to past standards of sales, even if the games are lacking.

....so many fanboys nowadays. back when ps2 was launched it had a slower start than the ps3 and all the dreamcast fans were like PS2 IS GONNA FAIL. We'll wait and see. i see 360 failing (technically and generally) more than the ps3.

If ever PS3 fails, it will bea unique case compare to N64 and Sega DC. PS3 so far, is not reaching sales potential andGOOD media attentionin comparison to the N64. Also, pricewise, N64 games was expensive during it's time however, the PS3 games are not far away in price plus the console itself is $600 more, not including the HDMI cable, and you need to have HDTV or it will look weird to play PS3 for a standard TV.

Nevertheless, I will not be surprise if the case of PS3 will be on Hardvard Business studies.

No, this is business, an in business you win when you turn a profit, not when you trounce the competition. New Balance isn'tlosing to Nike no more than Cheveron (or whoever owns it) is losing to shell. When companies make a profit, they win, period. The only people who care about the winning your talking about is fanboys. Granted evey business wants to be on top, but as long as they are bringing in money,no businessperson is going to call his company a loser.

That was my point. Who cares if ten great games came out before GTA3 if they all came out a month before. It reminds me of another generation (Thinks of Lair [maybe], Heavenly sword, GTA4, DMC4, Assasins Creed,... begins to drool).
