First of all. Akuma is just some drugged up fanboy.

YES the graphics of GeOW are really good, but definitely there will be games that will look considerably better than it. Considering that everything in the game has an unnecissary sheen to it. Like already mentioned, Crysis looks like an amazing game (better graphics IMO) and if bump mapping is implimented well in Killzone 2 then maybe even that. I prefer the graphics of Halo 3 than Gears IMO. Halo 3 looks more smooth while Gears a bit muddy in its texturing/mapping. Idk if anyone agrees with me. I know for sure that Akuma doesn't. Hopefully he won't haduken me:roll:

You know what, even though Halo hasn't got loads of bumpy/shined up textures -including trees- everywhere, I do think it looks better.

On the beta, both Highground+Snowbound blew me away, even Vahalla had some great elements despite being a bit barren but the water is wow. :lol: The game has amazing lighting, great attention to detail without throwing it all at the floor as well as larger and more interactive environments.

Gears - why don't people just get over the game? It's got great textures yeah, but that's really it.

Because lemmings are holding on to it like its gold. It was the title that hit big for them in early 2007, when PS3 didn't have much to run with. Now that the playing feild is even, they are grasping at straws.

Heavenly Sword is graphically better than Gears.

Hands down it beats it.

Damn, Capcom's engine really is superior to everything else isn't it.

Managed to make Dead Rising which looks great and has massive amounts of enemys.

Lost Planet - Beautiful game with the best explosions well, ever. LOTS of stuff happening at once.

DMC4 - Amazing character detail at a smooth 60fps.

Then eventually, RE5. Which puts all those games and all others to shame, which themselvs manage to shame other games in their respective genres. Capgod indeed.

Gears is over rated - its a great game, but not 9.6 great

That said, its still much better than anything that the ps3 has (at the moment)

Gears may have great graphics i would rather play rainbow six vegas its way more fun then gears just didnt get the hype.Halo2 is still the most played game on xbl almost 3 years after it camo out.

Im really sick about hearing "crysis" the game flopped at E3 and was a complete chop fest. Attempting to do something that is clearly beyond your limits, even on the highest end PCs available which were on display at e3, ends in failure. The character design is pretty generic and there is no online? Its all graphics, and that cant even be pulled off right.
