Any real RPG FAN without a 360 will be DROOLING to play Fable 2 later this year.

Fable 1 didn't deserve to be released, let alone AA.

That is by far the most overrated game in existence. It's worse than City of Heroes-one of my 5 worst games ever.

Open worlds arn't a requirement for an rpg to be superb.

They are significantly better than the constant dungeon like design of Fable 1.

It felt like you were trapped in a small narrow dungeon no matter where you were.

Yet some of the best WRPG's of all time like Planetscape Torment, Baldur's Gate 2, KOTOR, Even the action hack and slash Diablo series, were never really wide open. Take example of Oblivion, I though the game was awful, the wide open space was paradoxicially small.. The majority of the quests were the same, dungeons were all randomized for your level including equipment.. Which gave you little to no point to explore.. So I say again, wide open space is not a requirement for a superb rpg.

I see Fable as a Action game more than a RPG IMO I still have that one for X box and the ending really turned me off also. Hope the second one will be better.

It tooks me no less than 4 games to realize that Molyneux would never deliver. BW, bw2, the movie, fable. I've been hyped for all these games by Molyneux.

I'm a huge RPG fan, and an x360 owner, and I'm not bothering with Fable 2.

Why? Molyneux.

Molyneux lied about Black and White on PC, a month before release he said it had MANY features that weren't in it.

Molyneux lied about B&W2 the same way he did about B&W, shortly before release, and full of crap.

Molyneux lied about Fable, claiming it to be this wide open magical world that'll last soooo long...turned out to be a 10 hour game with barely any side missions...lovely.

Molyneux lies. Fable 2 will score decent, but will suck.

Fable 1 got an 8.6 Great here on GS. So yes it was a great RPG. And yes I know some say they did not like it. mostly due to promises not being kept. And these promises had to be cut out do to tech spec limitations of Xbox 1. It still pulled off more then the PS2 was capable of.

but now For Fable 2 tech specs are not an issue so this game should be the full vision. And it's going to be spectacular.

Oh god. Console RPG's these days are killing me. The fact that there are people out there treating the butchering of one of the best RPG franchises ever,like it will be the grandaddy of RPG's.

Considering how overrated the first one was, not really.

Plus, there are plenty of other great RPGs out there that are more appealing to me than Fable 2.

I own a 360 and im barley exited for Fable 2 tbh.

Im even anticipating Fallout 3 more - even though ive been increadably cynical about Bethsedas handling of it.

i don't own a 360 yet but i couldn't care less about fable 2. there are far more interesting rpg's that are already out on the 360 or still to be released.

Umm.. that's an Eastern RPG dude. Namco is making that game and Atlus is making Spectral Force 3. Infinite Undiscovery is being releaed by SquareEnix for the XBox 360. All Eastern JPRG games.

Fable 2 is Western, but so were games like Baldur's Gate, Knights of the Old Republic & Icewind Dale. All excellent Western RPG's.

That's your opinion. You can't judge a game that's not even out yet. A lot of people may actually enjoy some of the unique elements that are in Fable 2. Not everyone likes JRPG either. There a lot of people who won't even touch a FF games. Fable is an Action RPG, not an Action/Adventure game. That would be games like Ninja Gaiden 2 or Stanglehold.

I want a 360 but im too afraid it'll fail on me like my original xbox did (quit working after one year, i just tried to turn it on again and says it cant read disk during load times for any game)Games-Sage

Clearly I am a fanboy :roll: when I just said that rpg gamers, don't narrowly stick to jrpg's or wrpgs they base the rpg on overall quality and play both types.. I must be a neutral objective fanboy, a rare breed.

Fable 1 awas ok it would have been better if it was longer. What kind of RPG is 8 hours long? I guess the kind that developers rush to market.

Fable 2 is probably my most anticipated 360 title this year.

I enjoyed fable a lot, mainly due to tha fact that i'd heard nothing of what Peter molyneux was saying. I knew nothing of the game yet i bought it and loved it, so i'm excited about Fable 2.

Gears? Ninja Gaiden? Heck even Banjo???? I really doubt fable is the most anticipated 360 exclusive. And overall title might go to GTA.
