Anybody notice the 360's price?

In its 2.5 years on the market, the 360 has only recieved a $20 drop for the Arcade, a $50 for the Pro and a $30 for he Elite (In NA). And still the Pro still costs more then the launch price of the origional Xbox!

That is by far a industry record, just thought that people dont appreciate this as much as they should.

Just wish that they drop the price all ready, they are waiting too long, and Sony is gaining momentum.

This Sales game people keep on playing. Could anybody tell me the score it got here on GS. Its pretty popular but I cant find a review at all.

Why would people appreciate the lack of a price cut?

They didn't cut it for GTA4 so they won't cut it until Xmas.

I do too, I'm really puzzled by MS and their strategy. The whole reason they said they didn't include a lot of the things that are on PS3 is so they could always have the price advantage and while that is true it is certainly not something they are using very well. I always thought MS should've dropped the price while PS3 was $599 and Sony didn't have control of their manufacturing costs. The longer MS waits the smaller and smaller their advantage on a cost basis is going to be.

dude your point is brilliant!! almost all my friends are holding back for that very reason!! MS really should drop the price and make a huge contrast with the competition!!

Clearly, MS is fine with their current sales level and the amount of money they are making and don't feel they need to drop the price.

Frankly, I think that is stupid on MS's part. The longer they wait, the more likely it will be the PS3 will catch up to them. Sony loves the $100 price drop. Is MS drops the price another $50 for Christmas ($299 premium), I have no doubt that Sony will drop the 40 gig to $299 as well. Then MS has just lost the price advantage (which used to be huge) and has to rely solely on games to get by.

Meanwhile, the PS3 is still the better "value' because of BR, and built in Wifi. Has the reputation as being better hardware. AND if games haven't helped MS much at this point against Sony, then it will be even tougher with Sony's "heavy hitters" out or quickly on the way.
