Yes i regret buying the POS3 , all i play is my 360(GEARS, Orange Box, LO, HAlo3, COD4) while it collects dust, which it does very well actually.
Maybe when they improve the online and get some better games coming in, i might have some motive to turn it on.
Mkavanaugh77
maybe if you had better tastes in games you wouldnt have that problem...IE you need to diversfy, a 2 year old game, a PC port, a FF wannabe (actually i dont even know what LO is about...havent played it yet) a PC fps' bastard child and COD4, which is still best played on the PC
[QUOTE="hiryu3"][QUOTE="saolin323"][QUOTE="hiryu3"][QUOTE="saolin323"]but in 2008 and 2007 was and still is a dissapointment to me
CaseyWegner
You are disappointed in 2008 and we are only in the 3rd month of the year. Wow you are very shortsighted, but to each his own.
I just do not care for shooters and racers at all, that is why PS3 lineup is a joke to me, of course there are people that love shooters, i DO NOT
That is fine but how many games are coming out for the 360 that are not shooters? How many games are on the 360 that are not shooters?
most and most
If you look for it, it will be there.
[QUOTE="xTHExJUICEx"]After reading most of the TCs posts I think its pretty obvious hes a fakeboy....
is it even possible to not like at least one game on the PS3 in 08?
saolin323
I said i like the setting in Resistance 2 and will buy it for that, even though i usually never buy shooters
Also i will give MGS4 a rent and maybe if it gets more colorfull in other areas, i will buy that too
Also IF Infamous arrives in 2008, would be a must buy too, but with zero info of the game, chances are slim to zero IMO
So, there you go, i do like one game for sure, one other i want to buy because i like the graphics/setting/monsters and the third is wait and see
Now on 360 i am 100% going to buy day one, Fable 2, Alan Wake, Cry On, Infinite Undisocvery, Too human, Ninja Gaiden 2, Theseis, Precursors, Sacred 2, Splinter Cell 5, Banjo, Halo Wars, Tales of Vasperia, Project Offset
See the difference now ? I am buying the day they are out 14 xbox360 games, and already started the year with Lost oDyssey !!!
Now compare that to 1-3 games i am going to buy for PS3, only 2 day one, and Resistance 2 is just a shooter on top, nothing i would die for
In short, Infamous is the game, if it comes 2008 fine, PS3 just got better, if not, the other games are in the land of indifference to me
Fair enough but theres still no proof of you actually owning a PS3.

Trust me, it doesn't own a ps3, it even got small details wrong in it's statement regarding it's ownership of the ps3.
As per this thread, well, you'll never ever get even close to an accurate representation of people's feelings, if they regretted buying the ps3, they'd sell it, it sells used for the same amount as it cost new, no loss there.
[QUOTE="Meu2k7"][QUOTE="SecretPolice"]Never miss a opportunity to bash 360 do you ![QUOTE="Meu2k7"]I would LOVE to trade my 360 in for a PS3 now .... other than Fable 2... theres nothing I want for it.SecretPolice
What you stated can just as easily be put:
I would LOVE to trade my Gaming PC in for a PS3 now..... other then Crysis..... theres nothing I want for it.
You really need to let go of all that anti MS anger, it will be you're undoing. :P
I hardly call the truth bashing :P.
Why would I give my PC away when it gets the better versions? thats not near as logical ;).
I dont hate MS? I use Vista and have never complained.... I complain about the 360 library because its mainly just a clone of the PC's for the most part.
Saying that, I'l throw in Lost Odysee how about that? which I could rent for a week and be done with. Compared to the franchises I enjoyed in the PS2 days continued ... its not really much is it? ( I dont like Ninja Gaiden ... does nothing for me )
Oh a cow in hermits clothing eh - now it all makes more sense. :twisted:Anywho, You are aware the negative opinion you hold of the 360 library of games is shared by only the small minority where as most gamers give the 360 library very high marks and many even say it's the best ever - the PS3, not so much so........ Just Saying ! ;)
Those that say it's the best EVER have only been gaming since 2005
[QUOTE="saolin323"][QUOTE="Udsen"]Saolin, you don't own a PS3. Go away. It's an awesome system, unfortunate you don't have one to experience it. Also, Fable 2 looks like junk.karasill
No, Fable 2 is the best looking game of all times to me, if you count art there is simply no euqal IMO, and in technicals is a small step below Crysis too
As for PS3, yes i have one, i finished Folklore, Uncharted, own Resistance 1 and Motorstorm that were bundled with it, and frankly Uncharted is a mediocre game, well shooter game, i do not like shooters much
The graphics did look great, nothing out of the ordinary, just too colorfull andimpressive due to that, generally trees felt bad, grass felt bad, the inner side of levels felt empty, some low res textures and plants, some better, a strange mix of polish and no polish etc
All in all, vastly dissapointed in my PS3, Folklore was the only decent game IMO so far
Fable is not that impressive looking. It has great art and a few cool bells and whistles but it does not look as good as other games on a technical level. You have your opinion and I have mine, it's just your opinion is a little dilluted and comes off as being really fanboy'ish. The fact is more people are impressed with the likes of Alan Wake, Project Offset, Gears of War 2, and Uncharted then Fable 2.
Heck, Flight Simulator X (a one and a half year old game) looks better.
The FACT is that most people are more impressed with Alan Wake, because its graphics are hyped, but esseantially both games use same cool next gen, AND both run on 360, so it is not strange for Fable 2 to use as good lighting, shadows etc as Alan Wake
Now if you REALLY know what graphical effects are applied to both, it is clear that not only Fable 2 is every bit as amazing looking as Alan Wake, but suprasses it in several areas, like the more dense forests, grasses, and things around, or vast cities
All in all, Fable 2 uses EVERYTHING Alan Wake engine uses in next gen effects, like light beams, stretching shadows etc, BUT with much more detail around, clearly giving it a big edge IMO in graphics
As for art, well that is opinion based, and frankly Fable 2 art is above anything for me, by far
Still, i agree, Fable 2 and Alan Wake are above ANY console title by trillions of miles, they are very close
As for Uncharted ..... and Gears ..... pleeeeese, all those games have to show is good shaders and textures, in some tiny spaces, hardly close to Fable 2 or Alan Wake vast spaces, when those games arrive, these ones will look like a joke IMO
Nope, and I'm glad I got one of the launch 60 GBs too. Full B/C for all my PS2 games, best SKU out there, that is until MGS4 bundle drops in June....MikeE21286
Yea I love my 60GB!! The MGS4 bundle does look pretty sick though.

Have you ever considered that those games may run badly on the 360? Oblivion is a huge game and it runs like crap on the 360. Slideshow quality is part of the graphics so if the games hiccup like crazy, the reviews on graphics will not fair well! Both Gears and Uncharted run very well aside from some tearing on both games.

Oblivion was based on a multiplatform engine, OF COURSE it could never be optimised for 360 as much as a game made with 360 100% in mid, like both Fable 2 and Alan Wake will be
Also those games are 3rd gen games, Oblivon was a near launch game !!!! Gears run well indeed, because EPIC tailored better their engine to 360, of course it is still a multiplatform engine, using nothing of 360 power, while Uncharted was made ground up for PS3, and only mamages to do graphics as good as Gears
Those games have some TINY spaces though, can't be considered amzing in graphics, when they can only do paths and corridors, in Fable 2 and Alan Wake you get WORLDS, not corridors, and on top with VASTLY more next gen lighting.shadowing system, and VASTLY more thick forests, grass, trees and REAL 3D spaces, with forests that are real 3D and you can move in, and not some trees stuck around some walls, that are SUPPOSED to be a forest in Drake
Alan Wake >>>>>>>> Fable 2 Grahics wise. kevin9988
hahaha, in your dreams, they use the same effects, and Fable 2 has VASTLY more dense forests and more stuff around
I would call a tie, Alan Wake seems more barren, but is VAST, Fable 2 is HUGE, but not VAST, but has far more detail around
Everything else is similar, like the amazing lighting, with light beams in both, day/night synamic changes, and shadows, etc

I have FINISHED Uncharted, can you name the level where you could see trees IN the level ? I mean a forest, not one tree, i recall one tree in the level in a few hubs, but to call that a forest is a JOKE !!! It is a wall with trees around, and 1-2 trees you can actually fully see from all sides, well maybe, i do not recall even that TBH
Anyway, Drake jungle was a WALL, not a real jungle
And does not look betetr than Gears, for one, GEars has VASTLY more detail around the level, and far betetr shader use, and better lighting on top, it was just not as impressive due to not beeing colorfull as Drake, that is all
As for heroes and monstrs, Drake heroes look like coming from PS2 era TBH

What environment did Uncharted start in? You better answer this correctly.
Of course Uncharted didnt have a forest, its called a jungle ffs. kevin9988
Anyone that has not played the game could easilly se how tiny Drake world is, and how barren and empty inside levels, by looking at some videos, they all show a tiny world, a path essentially that you move through, in that respect it is as next gen as Fable 1 was
Crysis has a jungle, Drake has a WALL with jungle trees, not a jungle in any way imaginable

I can't really recall, i remember a plane that crashed, but i think the sea boat level was first, the one with the attackers from other boats, that come up with a bazzoka near the fight end

So not every game can be an open world one.
PS3 early adopters can't tell me they're not at least a little disappointed. No matter how well off you (or your parents) are, if you're purely a gamer and aren't interested in the PS3's other features, then you probably haven't gotten the proper returns for your investment.
The price has already gone down quite significantly, and you know the price will go down again before 2009. I plan on getting a PS3 eventually, because there's no way I can miss FFXIII, but if I had bought a PS3 before the price drop I'd be pretty pissed.

They simply do not know what 360 gamers play right now, first hand, if they knew would be a whole other story IMO

HAhAHA, no there is NONE with this detail and next gen graphical effects, what is so hard to understand ?
Dagerfall had a big world too, does not mean Alan Wake and Fable 2 are only as good, well OBVIOUSLY !!!!
So, not one game has such a vast, detailed and next gen lit world as Fable 2 and Alan Wake yet, bat Crysis and Far Cry 2 of course
