It's impossible to "own" somebody who's argument is based on the truth, especially when that truth is backed up with evidence.
Its a really good feeling, one that Sony fans have never experienced. You should try it sometime. Using logic and truth in your arguments Is a liberating experience.

Logic? All I see is some guy who's butthurt because he can count the amount of exclusives he's going to play this year on one hand ;)
So you mean a ps3 owner circa 2012?[QUOTE="N30F3N1X"][QUOTE="Miketheman83"]

So you mean a ps3 owner circa 2012? Yea, all Sony got was the unprecedented 3rd GOTY? Pesky GOTY exclusives. :( Awwwww yeahhhhhhh, thanks Sony/owned again, TC should just stop, it's embarrassing now. :([QUOTE="Miketheman83"]My interpretation of a "debate" with a Sony fan.
Me: The sky is blue, here is a picture that proves it:
Sony fanboy #1: Haha you're butthurt, the sky is green!
Sony fanboy #2: OMG you just got owned!

I'm not gonna get into some discussion about hardcore vs casual because if you label people as a hardcore gamer or a casual you are a special kind of loser. That said it's been an issue that had been building up since like 08 where Microsoft's first party just never looked all that flattering, and since then their exclusives have left a lot to be desired.
Forza is a fantastic racing series, Gears of War is a good series, Halo is a little long in the tooth, but sure it's a good series multiplayer wise. The stuff besides those franchises? There is like an Alan Wake here(and that went multiplat) and other than that you have like a Fable. Their exclusive lineup is too top heavy to the point the top heavy franchises are less flattering because of how often we see them. Microsoft has no depth in terms of first party on the retail front, and that needs to be addressed. I am by no means a fan of Sony's first party stuff(some stuff is good, other stuff is meh), but they have a good roster of devs and respectable variety of IPs. Nintendo lacks some originality on their side, but they are absolutely loaded with different ips and first party studios.
At the least you would think Microsoft would have a bunch of little studios that do XBLA stuff for them given how well XBLA has done for them. But if their studios are mostly doing Kinect stuff then I don't want to say they abandoned anyone, but they stopped making games I'd want to play.
Excellent post.... and I agree to an extent... given my own situation with a gaming family, i look for value in several places other than my own, but yeah... categorizing gamers is a fruitless battle... gaming is an activity that everyone does different... MS has something to prove to people like me who are interested in unique and mature gaming experiences... if they fail, I take my money elsewhere, and it reflects in their success with my demographic. As ive said, the single most important day in the future of xbox gaming is about to happen... where rumors dissipate and only fact remains....I'm not gonna get into some discussion about hardcore vs casual because if you label people as a hardcore gamer or a casual you are a special kind of loser. That said it's been an issue that had been building up since like 08 where Microsoft's first party just never looked all that flattering, and since then their exclusives have left a lot to be desired.

But this gen started the exact same way for MS. Few first party titles and some strong exclusive or timed exclusive third party titles. That strategy worked last time and I expect it to work and be tried again. MS isn't a stupid company, their Xbox divisoion is operating in the black, and they have extremely deep pockets. They can despite what anyone says cause they did it last time buy two or three big name exclusives and keep them that way for a year or so. And since Gears and Halo sell so well their next gen updates along with Forza and a new Fable and whatever Black Tusk is working on will give them enough exclusives to battle Sony. Again, in no gen ever in the history of video games was every third party game a multiplat. Wont be this way this gen either. For a rare few games the devs will have a price and MS is in the best position to pay it, have in the past, and IMO will likely do so again.I'm not gonna get into some discussion about hardcore vs casual because if you label people as a hardcore gamer or a casual you are a special kind of loser. The fact If the matter it's that the 360 has released more hardcore, high scoring games than the PS3 in the last two years. Anybody with half a brain can do the research and see that. The only way PS3 fans can win "the war" is by telling lies.
Amount of 360 games rated over 80 in 2012- 65
Amount of PS3 games rated over 80 in 2012- 51
Amount of 360 games rated over 80 in 2013- 5
Amount of PS3 games rated over 80 in 2013- 5
Facts are Facts, cows. You need to learn how to accept the truth If you expect people to take your opinions seriously.

The only people claiming MS is abandoning anything are the same idiots who can't even spell MS and use "m$" . FN 'tards, what would you expect?
[QUOTE="MonsieurX"][QUOTE="MonsieurX"]How do you determine how much a game is hardcore exactly? :|MonsieurXComplexity, difficulty, accessibility, depth etc.
[QUOTE="Shewgenja"][QUOTE="Miketheman83"] I bought the Witchet 2 a couple weeks ago. Not exclusive to the 360 but PS3 owners can't play it without an expensive PC. The 360 is the best standalone console this gen.Miketheman83This does nothing to strengthen your argument. In fact, you completely skirted the question and threw a bunch of chaffe in response. How do you figure? I'm playing Witcher 2, which is more hardcore than anything Sony has had in years. I've provided facts as to why the 360 it's more hardcore, if you don't want to believe fact then there's nothing I can do about that. So, you give MS credit for a third party non-exclusive game coming to their console how exactly? Got news for you, Witcher 3 is coming to PS4 judging by all indications. That means Sony is strengthening its core game support right on the back of PC developers that were exclusive to MS once upon a time. Elder Scrolls, Ninja Gaiden, Mass Effect, Bioshock and so so so many others say "Hi, Mike." Just saying..
You're not just getting owned, Microsoft is leaving you dangling from a rope. Give it up.
So let me get this straight, we're now taking ANYTHING that scores above 80 as being "hardcore"?
Does that mean that Journey is Hardcore?
[QUOTE="Miketheman83"][QUOTE="MonsieurX"]MonsieurXComplexity, difficulty, accessibility, depth etc. TW2 isn't that much complex and difficult. Accessibility is fine for anyone that already played RPGs ... I don't think anybody in their right mind would consider the Witcher a casual game.
