Well if you watched the japanese version with subs naruto is less annoying than the dub potrays him. Plus it get better especially the chunnin exams part. But dont watch the fillers, they almost made me hate naruto i was that bad
Second off, you need to constantly watch to get his full personality, which is great.
Third.. Simplely, just watch more.

While I think anyone should watch more then just one episode of an anime, I'm with the TC. I think Naruto is a horrible main character.
I disagree. I like his personality, why he is what he is, it reminds me of how people are when in that situation. I think he bring a good deal of inspiring out as the main character.

The Japanese original with English subs kicks ass. I then watched an episode with the American dub and it made me laugh. It was that corny. Did the dubbers try that hard to make it sound bad or something? Furthermore, isn't the show heavily censored in the States and don't they take the original Japanese songs out and add lame English ones?
I kind of like the english dub if anything its alot better than alot of other animes. But as always the sub version is alot better. The bad thing is that they have been really slacking on the anime recently and im getting sick of it.

Im older then 10 and I watch the English version I tried the Japanese version and the voices are annoying after getting used to the English ones and if I wanted to read I would read a book i dont want to read wile watching Naruto
The English version of both this and Bleach are terrible. I definitely prefer watching the Japanese voice with English subtitles. The show has had its good moments and bad, I stopped watching the original series right before the super long filler arc that came before the Shippuuden series began (and I think I did the right thing). Sadly, Shippuuden seems to drag a bit too... haven't watched any since they first introduced the drawing guy on the rooftop while Naruto was talking with Chouji and Shikamaru. Gonna keep it this way for a few more weeks so I can burn through afew episodesat once.
Personally, I enjoy getting my Shonen fix from Bleach though.
You most likely watched one of the early episodes...and the english version. He goes through a lot o character development throughout the series, and becomes quite the excellent character.

Lol, dude seriously... English dubs ruin Naruto. Naruto sounds annoying, and a lot of characters, especially Jiraya, are SO out of place. The original voices are ten times better, you can download the subs from Dattebayo in less then a day after they've been aired in Japan.
