Anyone else buying GTA 4 for PS3....

Honestly, im beginning to think im the only one getting GTA 4 for PS3. I know that sounds Blasphamous on these boards, but I do have reasons (note: I do own both PS3 and 360)

1. Controller: I think ill be more comfortable playing GTA 4 on a Dualshock Controller.

2. The DLC isnt a big deal to me. I also wouldnt like to pay a Arm and a leg for it when it comes out.

3. Less Jaggies and Warmer color pallete. This isnt a big deal, its jsut a personal liking.

4. The main game is going to be enough for me. I personally dont want to be playing GTA 4 for years and years to come. I would perfer to move on to bigger and better things, so the Main game will be enough for me. Plus, PS3 version will get some kind of DLC, just Not Episodes.

Pretty much thats where I stand right now. Unless Reviwers state the 360 version is the version to get, ill most likely be getting the PS3 version.

I am because of the fact I dont have a 360 yet...hehe...but I dont care about platforms anymore I just want the games now thats all.

There may be a Slim chance ill get eh 360 version if one of two factors occur:

1. I get my HDMI 360 by then.

2. Reviewers state that 360 version is the version to get.

I will be getting the PS3 version.

I'll probably buy it on 360. My friends play 360 more than anything, so it's smarter for us all to get the 360 version and play online together when we want.Coldplay07

That was actually another factor i was going to state. If my Freinds are all going to play it on 360, then ill get that version. ill PM them today to ask if there going to play it online or not.

Buying the PS3 version is like buying Matrix and Matrix Reloaded and trying to pass it off as the full story. I'll take the complete 360 version FTW...DXGreat1_HGL

Its more like your getting the 3 matrix movies with the ps3 version, and jsut some Bonus features with the 360 version.

I am also getting the PS3 version, and I own all 3 systems, just because I have so many games for my 360, I want to increase my PS3 library a bit. The PS3 version will probably have MORE jaggies, because the PS3 hardware does not do anti aliasing, the 360 hardware does.

1. Xbox 360 controller far better for me, more confortable and far better handling

2. DL is HUGE for me, extends the game to infinity, on 360 only

3. Better textures and more vibrand colors are of utimate importance to me, and 360 is sure to NOT looks washed out

4. 360 will get any DL content PS3 gets

So, i would never spend so much money on a version that can never be expanded as much as 360 one

7. Playing your own music in game

The missions have to be good for me to buy it , so if they are and they do a good job with the PS3 version I will buy it. I am not getting a 360 anytime soon.

People claiming they prefer the PS3 version because they wouldn't want to pay for the complete 360 DLC , yat they're willing to pay 40 dollars for a demj and then pay for the full version of the same game. I am buying the PS3 version because that is the platform that I prefer to play the series on, even though I own a 360 as well. As for the downloadable content, I could personally care less, as I am not going to pay for extra content after paying 60.00 for the game. That's just me, and I would not do it if it was on the PS3 either.

As for your comments on what I assume is GT5 Prolouge, I actually agree. I have no plans on buying a demo either, lol. I will wait for the game, thanks.

4. Both versions are the same, and both have multiplayer.

Either way it's looking good for both versions. But the way it works is PS3 only owners will get PS3 version, 360 only owner will get 360 version, etc.

Yea and how many people buy Madden 07 and then a year later buy Madden 08 or buy RBSV1 then a year later buy RBSV2. Its not different. People are paying 40 dollars to play a GT game that may not have as much as most racing games but at the same note has 40 dollars worth of stuff. To them it might be worth it to buy this then much later sell it or just buy the GT5.

I'm getting it for PS3 (I dont have a choice), but even if i did have a 360 i'd honestly get it for PS3 for the reasons you said basically.

1. I like the 'warmer' colors rather then brighter.

2. The same as your #2.

3. Dual Shock ftw.

4. Biggest reason of all, i would NOT want my console to go ape bat squirrel in the middle of playing, then i gotta wait a month to get it back and play again, no way, i'd rather be safe with the PS3, its not worth the extra content.

I'm buying it for PS3, partially because I don't have a 360. The other reason as to buying it on PS3 is because I have never finished a GTA game before, so getting far enough into this game to even consider the DLC would be an achievement for me.

So I'm pretty sure I'll be okay without the DLC for this game.

ummmm no. If i had a 360 I would still buy the PS3 version. The 360 controller is crap compared to the DS3 for sandbox games.
