Anyone else buying GTA 4 for PS3....

If I do get it it will be for the PS3. Because as this man pointed out. I don't have XBL to play online, so it's a better idea to buy the ps3 version.

Don't know what i would do if I owned a 360, anyways I don't care for the DLC and the controller issue isn't anything I care for since I played the previous ones on pc...

I'm getting it on 360 obviously for the content, but also because the Dualshock 2 ruined San Andreas for me. It was awkward and just useless. Say what you will, but I played football in college, my hands are huge (10" from pinky to thumb), the Duke (original Xbox controller, not the Controller - S introduced because of Japan) felt small in my hands. When I play FPS on the Sixaxis my thumbs hit each other on occasion. The controller was meant for Japanese people with smaller hands than mine.

Also? I like cooler colors. I HATE "warm" anything. Greys look orange, blues look green, purple looks magenta...that doesn't look natural to me. Give me a cooler color pallete any day of the week.

Also, and I'm not afraid to admit it, achievements.

That seems to be the case. The DLC is a nice bonus feature, but not on the level many 360 fans are making it out to be.

Yea, but I only own a ps3 so I'm not sure that it counts.

Either way, I just preordered it, can't wait till the end of next month.

I'm still not sure which version to get. The deciding factor will be the framerate and controller. I don't care about d/l content unless

A: It's free :D
B: It's VERY worth it.

I think for those who own both consoles should buy the version that plays the best. D/l content is a very nice bonu, but does not really make the game any better at all since you have to pay extra.

PS3 version

Don't really care for the online enough and DLC isn't a big deal for me. Will ask roommate what it is about.

Also the DLC isn't coming till like 4 - 6 months later and GT 5 Prologue and MGS 4 is right around the corner

I buying it for the ps3, because that's the system i own. I dont have 360.

things I dont care about:

-if the ps3 version has less jaggies. I am not a connaisseur of graphics really.

-extra content. I am not a hardcore gta fan. I dont think I would want to play a gta game for hundreds of hours, much less pay for all that content.

but, of course, this is all subject to change if certain determining factors come up. Like if the ps3 graphical superiority means a smoother gaming experience (less pop up and load times), or if the content is something I would really enjoy. I doubt either case though

totally agree with TC. Why buy a game on which you'll spend a lot of time on a console that cannot play a lot before burning RROD ??? It just make no sense. You need a professional hardware rig for that kind of game, not a 360
