I think it's possible to get used to, but I think it is much more sensitive than the 360 controller.

DS3 is fine, i'm used to the design since PS1 days :)
But i do prefare the 360 controller for fps titles..
[QUOTE="Nike_Air"]i know, i hate thatlike GTA IV? but i'm used to it already. You can change to the classic controls, though, but I experience a lot of issues with the control layout(like when driving and you are going to use the cp or someone is calling you and when you perform a drive-by which is completely different from previous GTAs). It just feels weird. They only bother me when some clueless companies map the shooting to the R2 and L2 triggers and don't let you change it. Sticks are fine.

If I gotta pick between the 360 controller and the DS3, I prefer the 360 for the placement of the analog sticks and the triggers. But really, for FPSs, I don't like any controllers. K/M - any time a shooter has a PC version, I'm opting for that
I love the DS3 when it comes to fps, it doesn't look like it would work, but i think it's nice to use, maybe because i have laarger thumbs.
I honestly don't care if i play with my Xbox Controller or with my PS3 Controller. It's almost identical.
Well, a part from the distaste from a few people about the placement of the analogs. You guys should look into the Real Trigger extensions by Gioteck if you don't like the paddles. Granted most FPS games don't have the aiming and firing buttons for the paddles but rather L1 + R1 but there's a few popular ones out there that either let you change it to that or require the paddles for firing. Anyways, here they are: http://www.gioteck.com/product_realtriggers.html

You may not like the look of it from Gioteck's promotional picture but look around. A lot of people love these. My Gamestop sells them behind the counter for $4-5 and it is worth it. I think they are actually a little bit better than my Xbox 360 controller since it has a gripped texture. Anyways, not trying to sell it or anything but I figured those who actually have issues with the triggers may find them very. very useful. I wish Sony would adopt them as a first party accessory or at least push for it to be advertises more. Then again, that's like saying any controller "needs" improving. Which for this case, it doesn't need to but it's a nice addition.
