No.
Simply put i don't pick up games just because the critics deem them good, i pick up very few games at a time and the fact that alot of awsome games comming up just gives me a bigger pool of choices to start with.
Also i'm a bit picky about my games so i'm skipping alot of them while patiently waiting for price drops on my second tier wishlist games. (plus i'm saving for something else :P).
Fatigued? Not at all... These games aren't going anywhere. There's no obligation to play these games right away just because they were recently released. Play them at your leisure, and don't feel obligated to buy games at or around launch unless you plan on playing it extensively and soon.
I have a huge backlog of games, so buying games at launch $60 doesn't make much sense for me. Whenever games that I know are good drop to around $20 or $30 bucks, I make sure to pick them up. I've been retro gaming a lot lately, and for me, it has driven home the point that games aren't going anywhere, and you'll always be able to find them and play them. Honestly, the only time I really feel the desire to buy a game at launch and at full price is when there is a strong online community, such as Modern Warfare 3. The exception to the rule this year has been Skyrim, I picked that up at full price because it is SKYRIM!! I never trade games in or sell them, and I'm kind of trying to start collecting, so any good game that I can pick up for cheap is a big up.
Basically, video games are just a fun hobby, and should be treated as such. Don't take them too seriously. Don't let the things you own end up owning you.
I like seeing other people happy about titles that they can afford. Me personally? I buy a handful that are *really* special to me, then wait to pick up all the rest sometime the following year when they've all dropped in price, or I wait for a really good sale.
Fatigued? Definitely not. I'd rather have too many good games come out than a handful of **** in between 1-2 amazing titles every 6-7 months.
45 games?. What the hell have you been buying. There's been about 15 must have games at the very most this year and you haven't even bought most of them.BigBoss255there is no such thing as a definitive must have list. Everyone has different preferences as you know. i can see at least 54 games from this list i'd want and/or already have http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_in_video_gaming
The $20 Amazon credits are awesome. Its a shame more retailers don't do stuff like that. GameStop only tries to reward you by buying used games since thats all the really profit off ofWell, I just preordered Mario Kart off BestBuy for $40, and it came with $20 credit. Feels good.BPoole96
Lol, in terms of titles released this year, this is true for me as well  Well, it was until I bought Mario 3D Land.I've bought like one game this year. Catherine.
Horrible year for gaming.

The only game I payed over £20 for was Deus ex: HR
Most of the games I buy are either on offer or cheap indie games (or both)
No because I only purchased 7 games and 1 system this year so far.
1.) Little Big Planet 2 (January 18)
2.) Pokemon Black (March 6)
3.) Pokemon White (March 6)
4.) Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection (September 27)
5.) Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (October 25)
6.) Uncharted Dual Pack (October 25)
7.) Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (November 20) (Still need to pick up my preorder yet but the store isn't open in my Area yet)
The only system I purchased was a 3DS on October 25th.
[QUOTE="todd2r"]45 titles!?!??!? Holy mother of god. I've bought MW3, Batman AC, Forza 4, Gears 3, and I will be picking up Saints Row 3, and Wwe 12 on black Friday. I thought that was a lot. But I guess not lol. Good luck to you man lolBrodomskiSee, the difference here is that you get laid. you harping on the getting laid thing makes me question whether YOU do. Something to prove? On topic, I was out of the console loop for about 7 months this year, which is why I just got to play LA Noire, and am just about to start Deus Ex. I still have infamous 2, gears 3, uncharted 3, batman, mw3, crysis(360), skyrim to play. And I have games I still haven't finished from before work took me away. So, yes TC, but I do love my gaming, so I will soldier on.
