As far as I know the only Xinput controllers I am aware of for PC is The Logitech F#10 series and Xbox 360 controllers. They need to have rechargeable Wireless controllers. Before you say just get rechargeable batteries I'm going to tell you what will you do when your in the middle of a game and your controllers batteries are near death. You just gonna pause the game and sit their waiting for batteries to recharge or just simply hook it to your PC our power outlet nearby and continue gaming.

I feel that logitech should make a new set of Xinput controllers. The back triggers on my F310 feel a little clunky/stiff. The should also loosen up the analog sticks a bit to make it better for aiming. I haven't tried any fighting games yet to see if the floating D-pad is crap.

What other types of new standard controllers do you think there should be for PC.

Razer should also make a X360 controller with built in rechargeable batteries. Then again I hear their controllers break easily :P

They should also put in a mouse/keyboard mode so that when you switch out a game you don't have to switch back to mouse in keyboard to select another, browse internet, alt tab out of games, be able to do stuff like click on ventrillo. This should be easy to implement since windows has a virtual keyboard.

I use both the PS3 and 360 controllers (Depending on the game). Don't really need more than that.

Just use a wired 360 controller - it works brilliantly for games that natively support it. Been playing Super Monday Night Combat almost exclusively with it, find it much more comfortable than a keyboard and mouse.

Basically this. I use Keyboard & Mouse for 90% of my PC games.

I don't want a wired controller it is not appropriate for my living room set up. Even in my own room the excess of the cords dangling ends up having my foot yanking it from the the table to the floor. Many time my Razer Hydra and Logitech controllers hit the floor cause my foot got caught in the cord.

Get that 360 wireless dongle thing.

Or a BT adapter and a PS3 controller.

I use a Logitech F510 and it feels just as good as a DS3 to me. The analog are a little more stiff but the triggers are much better and the controller itself is bigger and fits my hands more comfortably than the DS3

As far as controllers go, I'm fine with my wired 360 controller. Tough with nice build quality.

What I want is a cheap high-quality driving wheel. The kid's got my old Logitech G25 and my even older Logitech NASCAR died not too long ago.

I tired using a 360 controller but it would instantly give me a BSOD and after dealing with MS's incompetent customer service I said f*ck it and bought a Logitech gamepad.

I guess there not much games supporting Xinput and use classical DirectInput instead, so pad designers probably don't care to do Xinput drivers. If Xinput enforce some design specs then it might be also a problem

You can buy a device that allows you to use many Xbox wireless 360 controllers at once on your PC. My friend uses one and it works great.

Buy another battery pack. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B000VSDU1M/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&qid=1329737147&sr=8-1&condition=new It's 5 dollars for a battery pack, although it is pink, but who cares.

I looked up that Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows reciever can take up to 3 controllers thats nice.

Can it work with Logitech controllers or can the reciever for the Logitech F710 do the same thing?

I have friends and family that play on either PS3 or Xbox 360. They really aren't comfty with playing on different controllers.

Is it better then Logitechs for FPS?

I'm trying to buy some games that friends and family can enjoy with me on my PC. So far games I think can suit party time on the PC are L4D1/2, Resident Evil 5, Serious Sam 3 BFE, Blur, Trackmania 2, Magicka, StreetFighter 4/Street Fighter X Tekken, Blazblue, Guilty Gear, Unreal Tournament 3, NBA2k12 and others. I hear there are ways to get some form of splitscreen on games that don't have it implemented in console command or natively.

Hmm there should definitely be better gamepads for PC. The non-360 controllers all have issues. Even my Razer onza has a nonfunctional left trigger and the sticks feel weird when using both at once.
Logitech gamepads have bad deadzone issues. Even the M$ 360 controller can have some deadzone issues when used on the PC.
It can't be that hard to make a fully functional gamepad as sturdy as a console gamepad that you can plug into a PC.

I'd say so, mainly due to the placement of the thumbsticks. It's biggest issue is the woeful d-pad, and there's indeed a few split screen games. Honestly for Blur, and Split Second (or serious sam and L4D's hack) it could be worth it.

PS3 controller for the PC? Where?

http://www.motioninjoy.com/

Works great and I have never had an issue with it. Bought a $11 Bluetooth dongle so it can be wireless too! Keep in mind it can simply will emulate the Xbox controller for games that support it natively (so an X on screen will actually be square on the controller, minor stuff). I haven't used it for much else but it can take full advantage of the PS3 sixaxis as well if you want to bind that to stuff.
