[QUOTE="CronoSquall"][QUOTE="svetzenlether"]To disagree with alot of people on here, I've been gaming since the 80's and with this gen (with the exception of a couple games) I've been slowly losing interest. I don't own a 360 or PS3 and as of yet there's been nothing that's made me want to get either of them. The Wii's been decent up to this point but I have to say E3 wasn't all that encouraging. I'm kind of surprised more people don't feel this way; lowered expectations, maybe?
So yeah, I'm finding it boring.

Different =/= lowered, I'm a gamer of the eighties too. The crap games to great games ratio is better now than it was when we started gaming. Well, on the PS3 and 360 anyway. The Wii is approaching the eighties Atari crap games surplus.
There were a LOT of crap games back in the NES era, for sure. But I think the bars have leveled off to the point where, now, instead of a crap-to-great game ratio, it's more of a moderately bad-to-moderately good game ratio, especially for the 360/PS3 IMO. The Wii may have a ton of crap, but the great games on it are in fact GREAT, just a bit too few and far between, which doesn't look to changing any time soon.
The great games on the 360 and PS3 are great too, and their are more of them, and far more frequently. I won't say it's a "fact" they are great, but they do have certain inherent qualities which any reasonable gamer not driven by an agenda can recognize, just as I can recognize the inherent quaity of a game like Mario Galaxy, while also mentioning that it does nothing for me personally.
