I've been playing it for a few days now.Haven't seen any annoying bugs, haven't had a problem with the gameplay (it's not fantastic, but it's not bad either), and I really love the innovative roleplaying ideas that the game is loaded with.
It's one of the better RPGs of the gen, and certainly pushes the boundaries of what any of the bigger companies have been doing. Of all of the recent RPGs (and I play most of all of them), it's up there alongside The Witcher and Vampire Bloodlines in terms of actual roleplaying, and features better roleplaying options than anything Bioware or Bethesda have ever made (imo).
It's sort of sad to see people pass up on the game because of a few bad reviews, but it's the sort of game that only RPG fans can appreciate, so the scores make sense.

Haven't been up to date with Alpha Protocol, but what's so innovative about it? Looked like any sort of Bioware knock-off, Obsidian styIe to me.
And when you mean roleplaying, you just mean the whole "choices" thing correct? Bloodlines and the Witcher are worlds apart from any other RPG, and between themselves, in terms of how they approach roleplaying, though their whole "choice" things are somewhat similar I guess.
Meh, still think Bloodlines is way better than Witcher in terms of choice, and Witcher way better at combat. The Witcher just tried too hard to be "grey", whereas Bloodlines gave you really obscure choices which can't even be measure on a good or bad scale. And the Witcher has my fav combat mechanics in a RPG ever (especially with those hardcore mods), even better than Baldur's Gate, but the less said about Bloodlines combat, the better :P
