Anyone else sick of these Wii gamecube-update games that they sell now?

First it was Resident Evil 4, which by all accounts is a fun version. Now they are milking us by re-releasing gamecube games with "updated motions controls" on games like Pikmin, Mario Tennis, and now the Metroid trilogy. I own the gamecube versions of most all of these games, and releasing these new versions only makes me self conscious of my games. Why does Nintendo keep doing this to us?

Don't buy them and only a person owning the console should care.

Right now not really, but if it continues...then I'd have a problem.

Well 1 The GCN only sold 21 Million and the Wii is at 50+ Million now so it would give people that didn't own a GCN an opportunity to play games they missed out on. Also Metroid Prime Trilogy looks great and this is coming from somebody who owns all three games already. But it is the whole trilogy on 1 disc an Artbook, a t-shirt, and updated gameplay, updated graphics, and includes features that weren't in the first 2 but were in Prime 3.

I sold my gamecube, but I own a wii and still own lots of gamecube games. It's sad to see your games becoming outdated. I am strong, so I won't buy the new versions of games I already own (RE4, both metroids, pikmin), but I really really want the updated ones now. Nintendo is the king of re-releasing old games.

You can only get sick of them if you actually buy/play them. That must means that you are.. so stop it.

Outdated ? They are good games as they were designed originally. Not need to rebuy , no need to feel bad about not waggling.

So that new audiences can get into them. If anything, that's good for "hardcore" gamers; the only way people are going to become "hardcore" is if they start playing "hardcore" games, right? So why complain that some of the best games from last gen are being sold to new audiences?

Next people are going to start complaining about GOTY re-releases -_-

I disagree about Nintendo being the king of re-releasing old games that would be Square-Enix they made the Final Fantasy remakes on the GBA and now they are making them over again on the DS. Also RE4 isn't a Nintendo game it is a Capcom game.

I think they're great. I dislike the GameCube controller, and I never played many of those games. And the new play control schemes are positively awesome. On top of that, a proper widescreen image.

I just hope there will be a NPC version of WindWaker. With proper controls and real 16:9. Hell yeah.

It comes off as extremely greedy, but part of me can't fault them for it - the Gamecube sold (relatively) poorly, and now they have a huge install base of people that have probably never played the old games and have no idea you can play Gamecube games on the Wii. They spend $20 to get some dude to code shoddy motion controls for the game, print it to disc, and throw it out into stores. It's like printing money, and people gobble it up for the same reason people gobble up crap like MW2's Prestige Edition - they're idiots.

I think it's a good idea. It's only like 5 games. You're not forced to buy them, but the Wii controls make the game so much more fun.

The only one I bought was Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, because I didn't like the Gamecube controls at all.

What kind of comparison is that? Wii owners that just got into gaming can save money and get a superior product (rather than buying all three games separately)... People who really love Call of Duty can spend more money on what is pretty much the same product. Not the same at all.

I never played Pikmin on GameCube before - and its hard to find it where I live. So they made New Play Control! Pikmin - which plays better than the original, so I bought it. I also never played Prime 2 that much besides a friends copy for about 10 minutes - and I never got around to finishing the original prime game - so the Trilogy is worth it to me.

"It's all about me! It's being done to me!" Dude are you serious? They do it for the paper with dead presidents, queens and such on it. It is not done to you.

It gives people a chance to play the Gamecube classics, which are a hell of a lot better than most Wii games. So I don't care. However I will care if Sheep here try to use them as ownage.

It's only milking the people that bought them the first time and bought them again a second time

Translation: As long as you don't buy it the second time, why do you care?

How is it milking, exactly? These are for the dozens of millions of Wii owners who never owned a Gamecube and would otherwise have never enjoyed those titles.

RE4: better with motion control really. and has all the ps2 extra stuff Pikmin: im guessing this one is better too (seeing it is similar to LKS type...) Mario Tennis: idk why they made this one... just make a new one dammit Metroid Prime Trilogy: three games in one for 60 bucks? same as what MP3 is being sold at right now? count me in, i didnt get the last two in the series.
