I do. BP really felt like a chore to go through the liscences. All you had to do was floor the accelerator and boost and you basically won the race. It wasn't really a challange at all. With Motorstorm though, it was actually challenging and the races get progressively harder. If you try boosting too much and not handling the car well, you're gonna blow up. I mean they're both arcade racers, but they have such a big difference in scores. Is there something I'm missing? But i will say the online for BP was pretty fun.

BP did feel like a chore sometimes. Motorstorm pacific rift is a really hard game, so I think both games even out.

I thought they were both equally disappointing. Luckily, though, Split/Second is looking to bring the genre back to its former glory.

Pacific Rift was much better then the first motorstorm, still hard as s***, but a damn fun game. I personally loved burnout, it was a bit to easy, the only way the AI won was when you crashed, so it was more of a game based on your precision as a driver and reaction, while motorstorm was knowledge of the maps, which route is best for the car you are driving, how well you can handle the car in the conditions and bunch of other junk. Both great games, but i wouldnt compare.

But thats what I'm saying, it took a lot more skill to actually win a race in MS.

Even running a track for the hundredth time in the original MotorStorm was never infuriating, it was just tense. The gameplay was extremely tuned and required your full attention....that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Motorstorm is what would happen if Michael Bay took on gaming and, if as a first project decided to to do a racing game. It's arcadey and and not too deep, but it sure is flashy and chaotic... my type of game. So therefore, yes, I do enjoy Motorstorm much more than Burnout Paradise. In fact, Motorstorm the original (haven't gotten around to the second yet, though I hear its not as fun) is one of the best racing games of all time in my humble opinion. :)

TC, not only is Motorstorm 1 & 2 better than Burnout Paradise (even though I love burnout), it is the best racing series this gen thus far. Paradise strayed too far from it's structured track format, and suffered for it in my opinion.

Burnout Paradise was sort of a dissapointment for me, it was fun just driving around the city, but not for too long, and the online races/events seemed like a chore at times (ESPECIALLY the events), but at least the dev has been continually supporting the game for free, until the expansion (which costs money for obvious reasons). I just hope Split/Second can revive the feeling Burnout 3/Revenge had.

The first MotorStorm? Hell no. MotorStorm Pacific Rift? Debateable. However they are very different. I do really enjoy both however, for different reasons - always had a soft spot for arcade racers like these (and PGR).

I think i lost most interested in Motorstorm when i kept glitcing through hills whenever i did a large jump and would ramp into the hill on landing.

yeah I did.

Second that.

So did I for a few hours, but then I just got bored, and felt the game suffered due to the fact I loved the hell out of Burnout series the way it was, with structured, traditional tracks and such. SSX suffered the same fate after part 2 (or tricky)...... SSX 1 and 2 had awesome arcade influenced, big air ladled structured tracks, then from SSX3 on, they went with this open mountain crap that ruined what the series stood for for me, and drained the fun from it. I still love that pinball inspired SSX track alone, better than the whole mountains in 3 and 4. EA ya mongrels.....bring back Burnout the way it was, and give us a new SSX that draws from what made the 1st two FUN.

That was the demo though. Not doubting it's real or anything.. Only glitched I've experienced is right before going on some ramps or bridges I'll crash even though nothing is in front of me.

MS:PR is tough, just ranking up is a mission had it for months and just got to rank 4, and dont get me started on the online - freaking brutal. The original MS came out in the 06-07 period when the ps3 was having prety difficult time with the press andreview sites alike, look at folklore, uncharted, HS etc

Motorstorm PR >>>>>Burnout Paradise. Motorstorm PR has better tracks, more chaos, greater difficulty, better graphics, more car classes, splitscreen, custum soundtracks, and is just more fun. The only thing that I wish Motorstorm PR had is some of the gameplay modes that Burnout Paradise had like takedown, marked man etc. Motorstorm PR is a tragically overlooked game and my favorite racing game this gen. I spent more than 45 hours playing and never went online and didnt beat the tickets bc it gets uber hard last few races.

yay! mspr getting at least abit of love around here. MSPR has quite the community too with all the top racers giving tips to new racers and hosting leagues and fun rooms by themselves. i keep getting back into the game just because of time attacks(trying to get no1 on one of the leaderboards, currently no5 in the edge, mudplugger). and yeah online is brutal.

I think burnout paradise gets alot of recognition because of the constant releases of DLC which is really needed in the racing genre to give racers more challenges. And after ALOT of complaining and whining by the MS community Evo is finally gonna release two DLC packs each with about 7 tracks each(new&variant). I say a good step in the right direction.

Burnout Revenge >>> Burnout Paradise.

You can't really compare Burnout and Motorstorm. I would compare Motorstorm to a game like Pure. Pure is a really good game, I haven't had too much playtime with Motorstorm so I couldn't say which is better.

Yes by a long shot. Burnout Paradise sucks. I will not be replacing that game when I replace my PS3.
