Anyone feel 2011 is the Year Sony will finally overtake Xbox 360

I'm calling it here. So many exclusives are coming out this coming year. It's crazy. Socom, LBP2, Last Guardian, Resistance 3, Uncharted 3. I think It will overtake 360 sales overall this coming year. What do you think?

With the Sony PR not telling the truth about certain figures with their own product...no, it wont take over.

Unless Kinect sells mucho consoles i expect the PS3 to taker over in 2 years. Good thing too. MS don't deserve their lead.

PS3 fans have been saying this for the last 3 years....

i agree. i think M$ focus on Kinect will alienate there core fans who will defect to sony so they can play some proper games

1- Some games will be delayed, i have no doubt.

2- It's not always about games, imo, the PS3 has better library (overall library) and yet the X360 isstill exceeding it in overall sales, may be slightly but still.

3- Marketing and price are also another important factor, MS markets stuff so much that they gave you the feeling" you need this product, you have to buy it".

4- I believe Sony doesn't care, they are profitable now, the PS3 is becoming neck to neck with the X360 on so many levels, things are just running the way they want, of course it would be great if they beat the x360, but it's not possible, i am starting to doubt if the PS3 can ever takes the X360.

sony has pulled off the best of the best exclusives out and they're

still behind nintendo and microsoft. they're releasing high quality games

but many people just don't think it's worth it to buy sony's system for those titles.

if gow3 and mgs4 or even move isn't enough, i really doubt they can catch up sales-wise

for the rest of the gen.

From what I see no. Kinnect is going to be a bigger hit than move from all early indicationsand MS can always lower the price of their unit if Sony starts to surpass them monthly. Now I'm sure Sony's software will have a great year with all those games releasing but I think they will stay 3rd the rest of the gen.

Experience should have taught you that if it happens, you should just it happen itself without predictiing anything.

don't care as long as Sony is happy enough with their sales to keep making and producing the most high quality AAA+ exclusive games this gen like they've been doing ever since MGS4 released.

Poor Nintendo. Most people here seem to really care for sales, but theirs are always ignored..

Well I'll say one thing on sales: for the sake of gaming I sincerely hope that those for Kinect will be very bad..

I would say yes to sales too but even though kinect is a pileof crap,it will probably keep 360 ahead of the PS3. Unless PS3 hits that $199 sweet spot.

All I know is those Sony bastards are going to get alot of my coinage in 2011. Damn them for putting out so many exciting exclusive in such a short span of time.

I really want a ps3 now, no interest in gears 3, Bored of halo reach, hell, i've gone back to bad company 2! Infact, halo and gears are the only 2 xbox360 exclusives i've got (besides shadowrun, but meh)

by the way -- wii is leading by a big enough margin for any one to catch them so it does not matter whether or not you want sony to catch microsoft because microsoft is only losing to begin with ,

AND with gaMES im going with the wii because it has had several titles in vast genres , and i dont think thAT is gonna change and no 2011 has not came and gone so im not gonna predict if i dont know what is on the plate! for nintendo or microsoft so no just no this topic is like all other prediction topics-failed out the gate

The systems are so close at this point it is irrelevant now. Especially since the Wii blew them out years ago.
