dont compare the amount of action games to the amount of RPG's then it wont seem as smallBut the DS really does have a small number of action games pretty much compared to any system right now. That's the thing the I dislike the most about it. I don't like Contra 4, not interested in Metal SLug 7, don't like fighting games (not interesting in Bleach), I like GTA CW. Ninja Gaiden DS is fun at first, but then it jsut gets very repetitive. I still need to play Bangai O Spirits though, but it looks hard. That's about it really. There's also the Castlevanias, Mega Man ZX/Advent, and Scurge: Hive.[QUOTE="toast_burner"][QUOTE="Comduter"]I already said that the DS has too many RPG/Strategy games and too few games from other genres. There are some puzzle games, but not too many, and no where near enough action games. It has some action and racing games, but still, very few compared to the avalanche of strategy and RPG games. I don't like RPG or strategy games. I'm not talking different games in general. I was referring to games from different genres.

I think I would have to agree. I think it's the best console/handheld this generation, but I don't know about the most fun.
I think the Wii is the most fun, but the DS is pretty close to that.
You haven't played Phoenix Wright yet? You should really have gotten the original first. It's the best of the series.Only the games can answer that question. Anyway, I'm picking up phoenix wright trials and tribulations for 10 bucks this week so I'll finally play one of these games lol.

No. NO. NO! NO!! NO!!!

You need to play all three in order. I don't want to say much, but the last episode of Trials and Tribulations involves a lot of plot and character backstory introduced way back in the first Phoenix Wright and spread throughout the entire game. The last episode also involves a plot from the second episode of the second Phoenix Wright.
Because then you can only play when you are in that particular room. In that particular building.Nope. even though i have a ton of games for my DS all sitting in a flash cart, i STILL play my PS3 and my PC over my handheld.
why suffer the small screen size when you can play on an HDTV and have as much fun?

My shin hurts now :|
Anyway, if its that important I may buy it but not play it until I get to the other ones. $10 is a steal. They have patapon for 15 as well.

Well, considering it's a story-driven series, I'd say it's pretty darn important. :P $10 is a great deal considering how long it is. I lost about 20 hours per game (I examine everything) and I played through all of them twice. I can't comment on Patapon though seeing as I've never played it. Sounds like a pretty good deal as well given what I've heard.
Also, your shins don't hurt? Must've went numb from the kick. Damn, I must be getting good at this. 8)
Just wondering if anyone else felt this way. I'm always finding tons of great games on the DS that look like a lot of fun, and as great as they look, most of the console games just don't seem a lot of fun to me. Maybe it's because we have too many FPS games, I dunno. The DS just seems to have so much variety and has many RPGs.
Just wondering if anyone felt that way.
Nah I love my Xbox 360 to play all the great games and bask in it's online and graphical glory. Although I play my DS for some cool games like scribblenauts and gonna get the new mario game plus KH gameI've enjoyed all of my systems this gen, but if someone asked me to pick my favorite games of this gen most would be from the DS. There's just something about the games that draw me in. Zelda:PH, all 4 Pheonix Wright games, Hotel Dusk, NG:DS, the two Tomb Raider games, FFIV, both Touch Detective games, Sonic Rush, NSMB, Starfy, Scribblenauts, Mario Kart, etc...
Maybe it's that as an adult with other people in the house, I can't monopolize the TV for hours of console playing, but I can sit quietly on the couch playing my DS, while others watch tv, read, whatever
The DS has been my savior this gen. It's got alot of the old school (and old school style) games, mainly RPGs that I base my gaming habit on.
None of the home consoles have come through for me at all in this department.
