I just bought the move and Kinect yesterday, already own a nintendo . here is my order of which I like best

Kinect>move>wii

Xbox has clearly done something new here while sony is caught red handed stealing ideas once again. Honestly I dont see a difference between what the wii and move does. the move users a camera that can be moved around thats the only difference I see so far. The kinect is awesome, tho I did notice some lag when playing which rly pissed me off until I learned to compensate for it

I havent played the move yet, but I have played kinect and I own a wii. Kinect is alot more fun then the wii motion control wise. The lag is easily compensated and unless your xbox is in your closet, space isnt an issue. The only problem I have is that I feel the need to hold something... Which is unfixable on Microsoft's end because the point of it is that it is controller free. Ill just hold my toothbrush or something. The button free games are a nice casual way to play. It is seriously simple to jump into and learn, you dont have to worry with buying enough controllers (something the wii has already been attacked for with controllers racking up around 75 bucks when you add the accessories to play alot of the casual multiplayer games) to have a good time. I wouldn't pay 150 for it just yet however, seeing wii sports does me fine whenever I really want to lay down my two handed controller.

yea the kinect is a real nice piece of technology, I cant wait to see what they will do with it. I hope they will allow you to map buttons on the controller to actual movements, then you should be able to play any game on the kinect

Kinect isn't out here in Switzerland and I'm still not sure wether or not I should give it a try :S It'll be $200 around here and I'm not sure it's close to be worth it :S How bad is the lagg and is any of the game actually enjoyable?

I think it will be worth 200 bucks, the lag is not that bad rly. honestly I think that the launch titles are only a demonstration of what the kinect can do. i bought mines so I can have it already when the good games come out. but yea if you dont buy it now its not like your missing any blockbuster titles, its the technology that Im very impressed with.

Yes, I do like the Kinect better than the Move or the Wii so far, because it feels fresh and different, but I don't like that I have to move things around to create a 'play space'. I'm moving in a few months, and when I do, I will have to take Kinect into account. That's so weird...

Eyetoy is not the same as Kinect. Please stop with the misinformation.

Kinect has 3 cameras one which is an infrared 3D camera. Eyetoy has 1 2D camera. Also Sony admitted in an interview that they do not know how to create the software that can recognize different parts of the body something MS figured out and is the key ingredient in the Kinect tech. Eyetoy is a standard hi-def webcam with 1 speaker on it while Kinect has an array of speakers for detecting positional sound. Kinect also has a motorized mount that can follow the player.

Kinect's technology is definitely above MOVE's. Supposely the MOVE can do voice recognition as well, but i have yet to see a demonstration of that for any game or menu operations. I have a Wii and just got my Kinect last night. Will be playing it thoroughly on Sunday morning. Will get the MOVE once Sorcerer is released or something else that's worth playing besides Sports Champions.

I have Wii and Kinect...can't comment on move yet but seems similar to the Wii which collect dust....my wife made the comment while playing Kinect last night that "this is much more fun than the Wii" and that was while playing the kinda boring Adventures so imagine when the dance game arrives in the mail today.

Let's see you play a shooter or more than 2p game with Kinect. Did you factor that in before you decided which is better. I own a Wii, The Move, and have played Kinect a few times at my brother in law's house. I say it goes The Move >> Wii>>> Kinect because Kinect can't do as many types of games as The Move or Wii Motion can.

Even though it has better software then Move? I noticed you ignored my reply to your list yesterday...care to prove me wrong?

I didn't see your reply, what was it? And no it has no better software than Move yet. With Move I can play Heavy Rain and MAG with Kinect Dance Central (which is basically a Just Dance for the Wii) and Kinectimals (which is basically the EyePet) :P

i have wii and just got my kinect 360 slim bundle today. it was so easy to set up kinect. i didnt even have to use the sensor calibration card. had alot of fun with kinect this morning with just 1 game to play. its really a step above the wii in motion control gaming imo.

oh boy here we go again..... for those who supposedly own all the systems...try to play their common games, like say Table Tennis.

there is no competition, one is WAY more accurate than the others, as well as it looks WAY better than the other two.

as far as which is more fun? Well we can all hide behind our opinions, but personally I have more fun when I'm more in control... I don't like when I feel the game has to cheat for me or if the game is unresponsive.

after playing Kinect, I feel it will do WONDERFUL as a dancing trainer...hardcore games not so much...even sports games didn't seem fun to me.

Mind you, I have been playing PS3 Move's Sports Champions for a while now, so that has spoiled me.....with accuracy and graphics.

as far as Nintendo, although I don't believe in this whole "Sony copied them" thing especially when there were PS2 EyeToy games call PlaySports, EyeToy Party, and even a fitness game that to an extent tracked your body called Kinectic...

but that all being said, Nintendo is the one who took the chance and based their system from the get go on motion play, and they should be respected for that.

No interest in playing dance and fitness games as a video game. That is what real life is for thus no interest in Kinect.

the move has MAG the kinnect will never have anything like that . The move has some platforming games (the kinnect cant do that because running would be annoying and jumping would be hard . The kinect mostly has fitness, sports , skatboarding , party games eg. kinnect adventures , some adventure games harry potter, dancing and 1 fighting game the move has shooters thrid person first person and rail shooters , adventure games eg. playstation move hereos , sly cooper collection , sports , arpg (action role playing game) eg. sorcerry , fighting . here are some hardcore games playstation move heroes , heavy rain , residents evil 5 , mag , killzone 3 , lbp2 and many more to come the playstation move wont have car games so the kinnect will beat move at car games eg. forza motorsport 4

Please stop with the misinformation.

Also Sony admitted in an interview that they do not know how to create the software that can recognize different parts of the body

kuraimen

You seem to be the one posting misinformation. Here is an interview from the Playstation R&D Guru Dr. Richard Marks the creator of Playstation Eye.

"Peripheral-free, marker-free, highly detailed three-dimensional body tracking is a challenge, even with a 3D camera, and it is even more difficult with a 2D camera. Partial solutions are possible."

Is it the same type of tracking the Kinect can do? No, but he says there are solutions to give you similar results with tracking.

Also regarding voice regonition:

"...the PlayStation Eye has a four-microphone array, which we designed primarily to enable far-field voice input, so voice recognition is a possibility."

I agree that the Kinect camera is more advanced than the Playstation Eye, there is no arguing that, but it the Eye can produce a similar experience to the Kinect

Kinect cant do fine and accurate hand movements or maybe even accurate IR pointer movement. Try playing Table Tennis on Move and then try the Kinect version. The Move controller feels and moves exactly like a real paddle; every little wrist and hand movements is captured with startling accuracy, not so with Kinect, not even close. Try Bowling on Sports Resort for Wii, you can turn your wrist slow or fast to put great spin on your ball, and you can throw hard or soft...you cant with Kinect, With the Kinect you have to swing your arm across your body in a highly exagertated motion just to put a little bit of spin on the ball, and you really can throw hard or soft, not like with the Wii.

"Partial solutions are possible", means using tricks to give the effect of body tracking.

3d body tracking cannot be done on a RGB 2d camera... it just simply could not be done in a real world scenario.. it would require a massive calibration and setup process every time you wanted to play a game and would still be incredibly spotty at best. 2D body tracking with a single RGB camera is possible... but if you thought the limitations and lag kinect has is bad, just amplify it by 10.... games would be unplayable. What the pseye does is use various tricks to replicate the effects of body tracking.

Let me just put it this way, its more likely kinect will be able to match the accuracy of the move controller, than it is for sony to match the body tracking capabilities of kinect with the pseye. Which is to say, it aint gonna happen.

But at the same time i dont understand why move proponents continue to persist with this nonsense. The move has accuracy the kinect will never be able to match, and the kinect has full body tracking capabilities the move will never be able to match. Both excel in different areas.

If you want to play a dancing game, or kickboxng game... kinect is your answer. If you want to play a bowling game, or ping pong game... move is your answer. Each technology has its own advantage, pretending one can do everything as good as the other is laughable.
