Anyone "NOT" excited for the next-gen?

Don't get me wrong, I have been keeping up with what's going on with the PS4 and I can't wait to see what MS has up their sleeve. I was somewhat impressed with the PS4's graphics and game line-up but I wasn't overwhelmed.....and I'm absolutely sure that the 720 won't be much better!

Looking at the next-gen games that where previewed, they didn't look much better then Gears of War: Judgment, The Last of Us or Splinter Cell:BL. I know it will take a few years for the devs to push the hardware but that's kinda my point....why rush out and get a new system when there hasn't been a big leap?

I think this-gen still gotta lot of life in it, what are your thought's?

Want the WiiU and the PS4, so far.

I'm not really excited for any of the consoles. I'm sure the PS4 and next Xbox will keep up with the gaming trends of the current gen, and those types of games just bore me. The Wii U just needs more games to make it worth the price, but that may take a while.

I'm more excited for the 89xx and 700 series GPUs to release. I will be buying one of those before I buy a console

I'm not so much excited for the systems, I'm more excited for what it means for games and multiplats more than anything. I wanna see if the new architecture helps even out ports to and from different systems and basically what the hardware can pull off

I wont be buying a next gen console until like 2015. Still have plenty of current gen games I want to play that will be sold really cheap for the years to come. Then I'll buy a next gen console (PS4 more than likely) for cheaper and cheaper games. Its a win-win situation if you're patient enough

Very nice. I sorted my friend out and we went with the 7950 and he was blown. Away. 7970 with that CPU and everything on the screen must by flowing like warm butter, silky smooth, rich with detail. 

I'm actually excited about the PS4. I'm just not rabid about it until I'm carrying one with my grubby paws.

PS4 Day 1 with inFamous Second Son, Watchdogs and Drive Club. Will be epic. :D

Maybe Killzone just for the MP fix as well.

inFamous and Killzone are not a new IPs and that is all Geurilla and Sucker Punch have been working on for years. I expect both games to be 8.5 or above.a Drive looks pretty damn good too although I know nothing about racing games.

Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at right now in thought! I got TONS of tittles on both the 360 and PS3 that I will be getting once they hit the bargain-ben. So I'll have a backlog of games that will keep me busy....UNLESS Sony and MS can show me something that is going to knock my socks off.:P

Now don't wrong I'm not totally ruling out a next-gen system at launch, but as it currently stands I haven't been impressed.

I don't think it was that game quality went down, but it's just once gaming became big business much of what could survive on consoles in older generations can't survive on consoles anymore.

It's harder to find all the best games because if it's not a big money-maker then it won't be in the spotlight, but there's definitely the same quality this gen as any other gen if you're willing to play handhelds, and PC.

Same here. At 32 I started to question why I only buy 2 or 3 games a year now.  Was I really outgrowing gaming? No.  This gen was the most cookie cutter, samey, casualized for the masses steaming pile of dog turds in gaming history.  Maybe the Atari was worse, but it would be a close call.

If next gen is just more of the same with better graphics I'm officially out.

Yeah. I've got two machines to look after, both with 7850's. One has a pentium g860, the other core i3-3220 - still plenty awesome for gaming. 

He gets about 20-30% more frames but paid about 40% more. 

with sony's disappointing ps4 conference it's hard to be excited atm. :(

Agreed, it has to offer more then just graphics for me also.....I'm looking for some seriously jacked up multimedia functions!!!

Neither series has done a single thing for me.  If they're more of the same just with better graphics and more enemies on the screen at once then I consider them shyte.

If they introduce meaningful gameplay and mechanics changes, then maybe.  But I highly doubt it.  Console launch titles seem more concerned with bringing "teh OMG grafix" than anything else.

my nunber one wish was to see a console not be ram starved so i have to admit i'm pretty stoked about the ps4 even though i'm not going to early adopt this time like last time.

Haven't heard enough from the PS4 to get very excited. Right now Sony is in the hype the new console stage. The are giving people the GOOD NEWS. I'm still waiting for the BAD NEWS part.

Now Xbox? I don't care for at this moment in time.

I like new toys but I have more than enough games as is. I don't even have time to play them all.

I'm kinda meh about it but I'm kinda meh about everything. I'll wait till I see more interesting games before I start caring.

once I heard that the PS4 will not even have BC with PS1 games (they even removed CD support so the only way will be digital) I went from day 1 buy to "someday I will get one". The only thing that would sway me to buy day 1 one now is that either GT6 or something like FFvs would be a launch tittle and that will not happen.
