Man that game was great! One of the best games on the Genesis back in the day. I'd like to find a PC version of that or a good download of it. Anyone know where to find it online?

If I remember right, it was ahead of it's time when it was released to. It kind of had a Blade Runner feel to it.

I like Blackthorn alot. To bad I never got it for my 32x but I did play it on PC.

Flashback was a great showcase of what Genesis could do.

I hate to bring up Killer7 yet again but Killer7s art style was based off of Another World and Flashback. Damn, flashback was a great game. There really aren't too many games like it, the closest thing I can think of is PoP, and it's very different.

yeah flashback has to be one of my favourates. I owned it for my Amiga 500 back in the day, was on four disks lol. Those slimy alien creatures that made that horrible noise when the slithered around really freaked me out. Another world was awsome too, hoping into that mech thing was so far infront of its time, really impressive games.
Kind of were abs odessey came from when you think about it.

I have to play that game again. All I remember about it was you started out in a jungle and had to throw a rock at a robot. Huh, it's funny, I remember that I borrowed the game from a guy named Kelly (seriously, his name was Kelly) but I can't remember the details of the game. I know that it had a bad ass cutscene where you steel a bike though.

maaaaaaaaaaan Flashback is one of those great games i remember from when i was like 10.

i remember it having reaallly reallly awesome atmosphere, and it creeping me the hell out.

I reckon they should do a next-gen remake

If you played the original Prince of Persia, this is like a sequel to it, in the future. A futuristic 2D realistic animation action/adventure/survival type of game. Was really popular when I was young too.

I love Flashback, I had it on the computer and played it with my Dad all the time. It's to bad they stopped with Fade to Black because I personally liked where it was going.

Flashback was one of the greatest games ever made.  It's in my to 10 games of all time.   I loved that game.

The only thing that I've played that challenges the game experience I got when I played that game is MGS2

I remember Out of this world much more than the other 2 games. also alone in the dark was good back then.

it was actualy called another world on the first machine it came out on,,,the amiga 500 and i had it and the game it was great!

Out of this World and Flashback were (and still are) incredible games. You can still play them today and have an amazing experience!

Yea it was ahead of its time. Very good and solid action game.

Flashback is a superb game. I have the PC CD version although it's hard to get working on modern systems, so I have to use a genesis emulator. I really hope it comes out on VC, infact that would confirm my purchase of a Wii.

Fade to Black was cool aswell (have that somewhere also). Had the same kinda atmosphere, and was a great game in it's own right, although was overshadowed by Tomb Raider shortly after release (which had better graphics and gameplay).

I still have Flashback on my SNES.  Never could beat it though, maybe I should try again?  I haven't played it for about 7 years:P

It was released on the Sega Genesis, but I think there was a SNES version too. Really cool game :)

Funny enough i just started playing Fade to Black today after 10 years or so.

I found it and bought it cheap a few days ago, i never knew it was a sequel till today, the intro tells you that you escaped the aliens and that you are caught again after being in hyper sleep for 50 years.

So i search into and found out about this game, Flashback.

i hated the sequal to flashback. i have the sequal to flashback, which goes by the name of "fade to black" as being one of my all time worst game ever.

Yea, both are definitely mind benders. I find that Flashback is abit harder the OotW though.

OoTW i had other problems, specifically with the fighting, it was so hard to shoot and evade in tandem when your running with cla ssic PoP esque controls! Flashback i just got stuck from not knowing what to do next.

Had the same problems man. I still can't believe how many times I walked back and forth in Flashback trying to figure out what I was suppose to do...

Actually, the game was first released on the Amiga, possibly Atari ST and PC. Only later was it ported to consoles.
