[QUOTE="Odrec"]If games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Tales of Vesperia for PS3 are considered enhanced versions of the originals then with this is the same. Some improvements but overall it's the same game.bobbetybob
Yeah but it's not though is it, because it's got completely different missions, new game modes, completely new set of characters, new weapons, lots of new gore and dismemberments, update graphics, updated AI director, new enemies, and new ways to play the game (boomer bile and adrenaline add a lot to the game). I don't see why suddenly all sequels are expected to have completely different gameplay to the previous game, considering sequels have never done this before, and there are plenty of others coming out that nobody is moaning about, dunno why everyones getting pissy over MW2 and L4D2, does SW not like good games? No, SW doesn't like companies that push out games annually with big price tags and innovations that could've been added through a patch. The big issue with THOSE 2 games in particular is that people already know that the single player campaign for MW2 isn't going to span more than 4-6 hours. We all know that save for a few weapons and perks the multiplayer will remain the same. With L4D2 people are mad because Valve promised DLC and support for the first game that they never delivered on.
Now it's, "Remember those extra campaign missions we promised? Well here they are!"
FAN: "Oh, cool! It's DLC, right?"
Valve: "No, it's a whole new game!"
FAN: "Umm, okay. So it has like, twice as much stuff as the full game right?"
Valve: "Oh yeah! It has FIVE campaigns!"
FAN: "...but the first had four. That's only one extra."
Valve: "But it's tooootally worth it."
FAN: "So this is gonna be cheaper than the first game?"
Valve: "Oh no, it's the same price!"
FAN: ":("
I suppose you can see why people would be disconcerted.
