Apart from BluRay, what advantages does the PS3 have over the 360??

Your logic fails, its basically like saying if you go outside you might be hit by a bus. Sure theres a small chance of it happening, but it most likely will never happen, so you go with the next best option - staying inside or PS3.

33% is not a small chance for a consumer spending $400 on a console. To put this in perspective, 1/3 Xbox's will RROD eventually.

If you think im lying, I couldnt care less. I have read about the supposed 33% rate, but it was an EB store or something providing numbers on it. Using that as an argument is dodgy as hell. I hope its not that article, if it is, dont bother providing a link.

Im bored, a few of you put in some good arguments, most didnt. Some twisted the concept of exclusitivity to suit their own arguments which was rather weak.

erm....exclusives stay as exclusives so they dont go to PC...... very very reliable hardware.....free online .... more stuff in it ( WiFi, Bluetooth, Blu-Ray Drive, HDMI 1.3, Internet Browser etc ), Standard upgradeable Hard Drive, exclusives such as:

MGS4, FFXIII, FFVXIII, GOW3, LBP, GT5, Wardevil, KZ2, Resistance 2, Motorstorm Pacific Drift, White Knight Chronicles, Infamous, Warhawk, Ratchet and Clank, Folklore, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharted, Siren Blood Curse, Heavenly Sword, Lair...etc... etc.....

at least for me...its enough for 400 bucks :)

and i dont care about PS2 BC :)

PS3 = $400 = $400

Whats more expensive. Aside from Blu Ray it tops the 360 in power, yeah we know uve heard it because and probablly dont believe it but idc, ive looked at the design on the chip (for my Advanced Integration Circuits class) and its truely amazing. then theres something the ps3 lacks that the 360 has, a massive failure rate. Really i fear turning on my 360 because of RRoD. My PS3 alwauys runs, and its so silent compared to the 360s fan. And through my testing while PSN isnt the greatest XBL isnt amazing either. for 60 bucks a year XBL isnt nearly good enough to have to pay for. Its so laggy, connection issues, and errors where if im talking to my friends online then try to join an online game itll say im not online yet...

Then the games. Not a single 360 game other than Halo 3 interests me. And Im going to take my chances on Halo 3 also going to the PC (So exclusive my butt)

Heh, OK then. It may be good but it's probably not the right game to use if you want to make Cows jealous though.

as for the hardware....multiplats run better on the 360...free online is ok but the flip side is its lower quality, ps3 is still substantially more expensive than the 360, who cares if some 360 exclusives go to the PC?

Good for the PC gamers....I find it sad that you take pride that the PS3 denies PC gamers of some exclusive games....

I just did a price comparison in another thread. Your gonna want to add another 100 dollars on the 360. Your price is for the core system and it doesnt come with a HDD. I made that mistake, and I strongly suggest noone else do it. The 50 MB MU it comes with just doenst cut it. So add 100 dollars for the 20 GB HDD.

And by the way Bond can i just say that your reasoning is terrible you sound pretty ignorant to me heres my opinion on things: i went into game today and spoke with an EXPERT bout PS3 v Xbox 360 and he said the xbox so far is easy to make games for and the PS3 is harder to make games for, however it doesn't finish there, he said the developers of games are finding better ways of using the PS3 to its full capacity whcih is alot better than the 360 on paper. Another point is that xbox games have come out in 1080p while 1080p games for the PS3 will be released by around the middle of next year, this is also a reason for why the PS3 graphics look slightly behind the 360, so you just wait a little and youll see the PS3 shine through by the end of next year, everyone will be buying them, and then people will realise that all these stupid arguements were a load of rubbish and that the PS3 is superior. JUST WAIT AND SEE. Oh and by the way who the hell said that a computor was a rubbish console, its loads more powerful than an xbox 360 and you can get a top gaming one for £700 or $1400!!!!!
