Oh god no. Apple ruins everything they touch.
I'm a Sony fanboy, but very much appreciate Nintendo, and appreciate what Microsoft have done (though not as much their recent actions) have done for the industry, and would hate for any of them to go bankrupt or leave the industry.
Apple on the other hand, can go burn in hell.

Apple buys content by buying Activision, Microsoft counters by buying EA and Sony ends up **** ;)

Best exclusive games? 11 or of 13 of their exclusive games FLOPPED last year. What are you talking about?
Get your face out of Sony's A$$ already and wipe that brown stuff off your nose.
Your Welcome!!

Apple has patented a game controller design that eerily resembles a PS3 controller, and in one of the schematics it shows it connecting to a " Game Console ".

Yes....I am keeping my fingers crossed on this one....I've wanted Apple to enter the console market for years.....With any luck they'll make a surprise appearance at E3 this year and announce a console in the making.

Apple console would likely leverge iOS architecture, so it would suck. I think much more likely scenario is integration of iOS into their future tv projects.
Apple doesn't do anything unless it's likely to change everything. They won't make a move unless they've got something significant up their sleeve. This is pretty safe (in other words -- not worth their time).musicalmacReplace Apple with Steve, and I'm with you on that.
A traditional console doesn't seem like Apple's style. if they do something it will probably be something like a touch screen TV with games integrated right into the TV.Sali217So .. you'd have to walk up to the TV and sit right in front of it to use it? lol not very practical

You can already do that with the Apple tv, its pretty cool.
For one, Apple doesn't do large conventions. They have their own. They don't like to have to compete for attention. Also, I can't imagine them bringing anything good to this industry, they have a lot of clout and larger user bases but developers aren't too keen. Third, it may more likely be somehting they're developing to use for AppleTV.
