To his credit, he's not entirely wrong.
Android was written in Java. The Java compiler turns a source code into an intermediary file called "byte file". This byte file is then read by the Java Virtual Machine and converted into machine language.
The benefit of this "translated language" is extensive cross-compatibility, which was google's intention: Driving iOS developers to Android. So far, it's been working. However, due to the nature JVM, Java is considered a "higher-level" programming language, meaning it's coded further from the metal than languages such as C++. Because of this, there are some minor performance hits. Not only that, Android is far more complex than iOS. iOS is just a training wheel OS for mental midgets and girls, while Android is for men.
Right now, mobile technology is still in its infancy. When the time comes (Possibly the new SGS IV), there probably won't be any hiccups.

Still don't want to admit that 3/4 of app crashes are from iOS devices? BWAHAHAHAHAHA...
Or that iOS security has been breached by a 40-year-old basement dweller multiple times? Or how about their awesome navigation apps that nearly killed those motorists in Australia due to Apple's incompetent "engineering" team?
Face it. Apple is nothing but a designing company. They make gorgeous-looking rectangles, but when it comes to activities that require intelligence and high IQ, they fail miserably.

Don't expect their navigation algorithm to improve any time soon. Apple lacks the talent and intelligence to write a stable, working algorithm like google can.

I bought my mom an iPad 3 for mother's day last year. I installed iOS6 on the device for her a few months back. Jesus Christ, there are so many hiccups it's not even funny. Every time I try to swipe left or right, there's a slight pause.
How the hell can you make such a simple OS and have that much lag? Not only that, it's not even coded with a translated language. How does Apple really suck that much?

Apple products are anything but high quality.
Just the fact that it has the msot unstable mobile OS should disqualify Apple from taking the high quality crown.

I find people have the most problems with Apple devices and services when trying to mix them with other hardware. Once you get into the Apple echosystem of products they work flawlessly together. I have two OSX+ desktops, two OS9 desktops, an iphone 3, an ipod, an ipad 3, a macbook, two macbook pros and and apple airport extreme. and they all work flawlessly together, but not necessarily well with other hardware I have.Sali217I can attest to that. Try to get a Windows based PC to share files with an OSX based machine is a PITA. I ended up using Filezilla.
