WWDC Apple's equivalent of Google IO which also starts with typical Apple keynote where they annouce stuff on June 10.... same day as EA's E3 conference been dated :o and probably oither big players will have conference and day before E3 opens publicly http://www.ifans.com/blog/80267/ EA date confirmation: http://www.vg247.com/2013/04/23/eas-e3-2013-conference-dated-timed/ Is Apple something up to in terms of gaming? :>

Clearly you haven't touched Android 4.2

To his credit, he's not entirely wrong.

Android was written in Java. The Java compiler turns a source code into an intermediary file called "byte file". This byte file is then read by the Java Virtual Machine and converted into machine language.

The benefit of this "translated language" is extensive cross-compatibility, which was google's intention: Driving iOS developers to Android. So far, it's been working. However, due to the nature JVM, Java is considered a "higher-level" programming language, meaning it's coded further from the metal than languages such as C++. Because of this, there are some minor performance hits. Not only that, Android is far more complex than iOS. iOS is just a training wheel OS for mental midgets and girls, while Android is for men.

Right now, mobile technology is still in its infancy. When the time comes (Possibly the new SGS IV), there probably won't be any hiccups.

You're sacrificing customization and flexibility for simplicity. And I would argue that stock Jelly Bean looks far more elegant than iOS.

Still don't want to admit that 3/4 of app crashes are from iOS devices? BWAHAHAHAHAHA...

Or that iOS security has been breached by a 40-year-old basement dweller multiple times? Or how about their awesome navigation apps that nearly killed those motorists in Australia due to Apple's incompetent "engineering" team?

Face it. Apple is nothing but a designing company. They make gorgeous-looking rectangles, but when it comes to activities that require intelligence and high IQ, they fail miserably.

Don't expect their navigation algorithm to improve any time soon. Apple lacks the talent and intelligence to write a stable, working algorithm like google can.

Pretty much all my friends that have an iPhone ended up jailbreaking them, and then making them look like Android without knowing it!

I bought my mom an iPad 3 for mother's day last year. I installed iOS6 on the device for her a few months back. Jesus Christ, there are so many hiccups it's not even funny. Every time I try to swipe left or right, there's a slight pause.

How the hell can you make such a simple OS and have that much lag? Not only that, it's not even coded with a translated language. How does Apple really suck that much?

Truth be told, I'm torn between a new Android phone or jumping ship back to Apple for the new iPhone.

The number of apps - Yeah, and around 70% of the apps have never been downloaded once.

The simplicty of the OS - Samsung Galaxy Phones are easier to use than iPhones

http://news.cnet.com/8301-17852_3-57578754-71/samsung-galaxy-simpler-than-iphone-survey-says/

Compatiable with OSX - Why buy a mac when you can buy a windows PC? I just love how iSheep keep throwing in the "number of apps" argument when comparing iOS and Android, but completely ignore the difference in dev support between windows PCs and MACs.

Apple products are anything but high quality.

Just the fact that it has the msot unstable mobile OS should disqualify Apple from taking the high quality crown.

[QUOTE="clyde46"] To a degree :P But I find the UI to be leaps ahead of Android. I also own a iPad 3 with iOS6 installed.

Why would you buy your mother an ipad when it's clear by this thread that Apple burned your house down and screwed your girlfriend?

Because at that time, I thought iOS would be a good training wheel device before she plunges into the Android ecosystem.

How can the UI be leaps ahead of Android when with Android, you have the ability to make your UI look almost the same as iOS? You make no sense, like all iSheep I encounter.

As I own an Android device and an iOS device, I'll list what I like from both.

Android

The flexibitly of the OS.
Drag and Drop.
More options to the end user

iOS

The number of apps
The simplicty of the OS
Compatiable with OSX.

Compatiable with OSX - Why buy a mac when you can buy a windows PC? I just love how iSheep keep throwing in the "number of apps" argument when comparing iOS and Android, but completely ignore the difference in dev support between windows PCs and MACs.

I never want to own a Windows based laptop ever again. The quailty of Apple's laptops far outstrips anything Windows based on the market. I don't know why you are calling me a iSheep when I own a Windows based gaming rig and an Android phone as well as my Mac's and iPad.

And yet these are the apps tested in that bullshit stability link you keep throwing around. So they do matter, but they don't?

You're so full of shit

How can the apps that have never been downloaded EVER be the app that gets tested? LOL... Logic fail...

I find people have the most problems with Apple devices and services when trying to mix them with other hardware. Once you get into the Apple echosystem of products they work flawlessly together. I have two OSX+ desktops, two OS9 desktops, an iphone 3, an ipod, an ipad 3, a macbook, two macbook pros and and apple airport extreme. and they all work flawlessly together, but not necessarily well with other hardware I have.

I can attest to that. Try to get a Windows based PC to share files with an OSX based machine is a PITA. I ended up using Filezilla.
