im no fanboy, i appreciate and play all systems, but i cant help but question microsoft's plan.
wen the 360 first arrived, it seemed as though it stood for the hardcore gamer. with releases like halo 3, gears of war, condemned, gamers went to the microsoft side for their hardcore fix. this proved successful for microsoft because the wii catered to the casual and the ps3, wen it was released, seemed to have alot less support for coming in late.
however now that sony have been gaining more and more momentum and the wii contains to dominate sales, it seems as though microsoft are trying too much to please the casual fan aswell as the hardcore. their first plan as a hardcore system seems to be slowly being replaced by the casual market, what with the rumoured motion control, ALOT more wii-esque family games, and continuing to rely on alredy set franchises (gears of war, halo) instead of making new IP's for the hardcore.
so my question is are microsoft tryin to please too many, but instead are failing to establish their own personality?
